Go with the Element Fire Extinguisher and there’s plenty of room anywhere.
I am a big fan of the element. One in each vehicle.

Has anyone tried an element in a vehicle fire though? Here I am considering a second 2.5lbs Amerex bottle on the rear roll cage for safer cooking use out while car camping, no idea how an element would be able to handle a decent blaze you have to choke off from a good distance away.

I could see an element being handy in a kitchen cabinet near a stove or something but gasoline and AGM battery fires are something else…

Rennline also carries the element fire extinguishers.

Awesome to see what everyone is using! I'm thinking I might add an Element up front for quick access and keep the 2.5 ABC bottle in the back.

A question about fire extinguishers. Maybe the professionals can weigh in. The Weather Channel shows graphics like the one below, when telling you not to leave your kids or dog in the car on hot days. My First Alert ABC fire extinguisher, bought from Lowe's, says that it is suitable for use up to 120 degrees F. The Element web page says suitable for use up to 320 degrees F. I live in Florida, where it gets pretty hot. I have never actually measured the temperature inside the car after it has sat in the sun, although I probably will now. Is my First Alert going to blow up when it gets to be 140 degrees in the car? Or worse, probably, is it not going to work because it is hotter than 120 degrees F? Is this even something to be concerned about? Thanks to anyone who can shed light on this.

I mocked up a few 14 gauge brackets that attached to the threaded holes that were there in the Bronco and attached to them.

What size bolt did you use to mount onto the rollbar?

Are you selling these?
I have an Element and was going to buy the magnetic mount, but I like this better. Looks good.

Mounted on roll bar. I used to have it on the interior side of this bar, but had to move to the front after getting the cargo enclosure, since it would’ve blocked the lid.

Bars are wrapped with black ace bandages.

I feel the benefit to the Element is the length of time you have to actually fight the fire. A 2.5lb canister will last about 10 seconds. The element gives you about 100 seconds to actually engage a fire. The canister may pack a bigger initial punch in fire fighting but the Element lasts much longer.

I’m up in Canada so the shipping would be more than the brackets are worth lol

Can't mount $#!% on the 2 door like that.

I have accepted this but it would have been nice if they made it usable in the 2 doors.
Its ok.... We have Badass 2 doors!!! We are purpose built and creative in our setups of our rigs. 👍👍😎

We don't need a fire extinguisher for cruising the mall or chasing crumb snatcher... lol

Team 2 Door has fire extinguishers for the trail to assist other off roaders.

Jeeps can just burn!!!...🤣

That looks pretty good. What’s the idea with the ace bandages? Prevent rattling? Rubbing/chaffing?

They both protect the bar from the extinguisher mount, and from me knocking it when removing the MIC top.

Though that’s less of an issue since I got the TopLift Pro.

I got the idea from a Canadian YouTuber, can’t remember who unfortunately.

Gotcha, I’m one of those soft-top weirdos so I was unfamiliar with this issue. But I am interested in the ace bandages for protecting the bars.
