I had mine done at 5000 miles when it was in for warranty work, used Fordpass points. I’ll do them at home going forward at 5000 mile intervals.

This guy knows what he is talking. about! Oil is cheap, and there is nothing wrong with changing oil early. Or wait until 5-10k, it’s your rig to do with as one sees fit.Smaller displacement, higher revving, turbo charged engines are harder on oil in my opinion
I personally did mine at 1000 miles. I like running a full synthetic.6 months or 7500 miles for changes. I’ve gotten 300k out of several engines. Do what makes sense for you. Your going to get a thousand different opinions.
Now when I build an engine that’s a different animal. I tend to use a different oil for break in, depending on the platform / engine family.
Oil is cheap? Hmmmmmmm. Pretty sure I justpaid 5.25 a gallon for home heating oil yesterday. Paid 5.00 a gallon for regular gas today. Where is this cheap oil you speak of?This guy knows what he is talking. about! Oil is cheap, and there is nothing wrong with changing oil early. Check Walmart, think I paid less then $30 when I bought my Mobile 1 recently. One just spent 35-70k on a vehicle. $80.00 is cheap piece of mind for me at least.

Is your search function broken? This has been discussed 100s of times.it would be awesome if you took the 1.3 seconds it took to respond to this and maybe extend that a bit to 20-30 seconds and write something constructive.

I did my first change and every oil change at 3000 never had an issuejust hit 1000 miles and i remember reading somewhere it might be a good idea to change early to get the factory "grit" out of the engine.
Any truth to this lore? 2.7 btw.
Conversely, it would have been just as awesome if you searched the topic on the forum using the search function instead of posting a new thread while saying you remembered seeing something...it would be awesome if you took the 1.3 seconds it took to respond to this and maybe extend that a bit to 20-30 seconds and write something constructive.
