BLM and AZ do permits for camping in the desert for very nominal fee (like $5.00 a month)- my guess is they run it by the Sheriffs to avoid "Bonnie & Clide" moving in.

I haven't been there for many years, but I think there was a hairpin turn where some 4x4s have to pull forward and back down in reverse. Did you try trail-turn assist there?

Yes, used trail turn asssit on a couple of the corners. I think it helped. It was a three point turn, but I did not need to back down that one section. Honestly, I want to take the Bronco to an open dirt area and experiment and practice with the trail turn assist a bit more so I have a better feel for it.
