The “four-doors are mall crawlers” folk may not be aware that the International Scout Traveler was about six inches longer (with a 2-inch longer wheelbase) than a 4-door 2021 Bronco and available with the option of a third row of seating. Nobody would dare accuse the Traveler of not being a trail monster.

It had room for 4 doors and should have had 4 but I guess International wanted to save money. Hell, the regular Scout II (bottom photo, not as long) might have had room for 4 doors if the rear wheels were closer to the butt end like the 4-door Bronco, which also would have kept the Scout II from dragging that ass on trail inclines. To my mind, the 2-door Bronco harkens to the early Bronco, while the 4-door is a perfect hybrid of early Bronco and Scout II.

That's back when it was easier to crawl into the back seat. I think we were thinner then. :)

It is interesting how the perspective of 4-door vehicles has changed. Growing up in the 80s, I wouldn't have wanted a 4-door car if you gave it to me. Now, everyone prefers them. My kids would never understand my disdain for 4-door cars. Also, no one cares about sports cars anymore. They all seem very happy with crossovers, uhg.

Looking at how many 2 door lovers like to bash 4 door models on this forum, and how few negative posts there are from those into the 4 door. if any bashing a two door, I can only ascertain that a large number of those folks into the two door model are unhappy, anti-social people. Not saying all folks into two door models are just an unnerving number of posts floating around suggesting this is the case. I'll keep my cars with two doors and my SUVs and trucks with 4. #performance vs #practical

Yep, I fucked up.
I had read 500 a day across two shifts and misremembered it as 500 a shift x two shifts ....
There was also another post that put production at 1000 UNITS a day, to include Rangers....not 1000 Broncos.....and as stated above, that would have to be a PERFECT day, IE: Not gonna happen.

I have edited the nonsense out of my earlier post.
Ah I see. No worries. So with 1000 units a day from MAP, if we take that 5:1 Bronco to Ranger ratio that was mentioned and make it a 3:1 and then round down a little to be safe, we can say about 700 Broncos on average a day at full production speed. That'd be about 61,000 between August 1st - December 1st. Add that to the about 8,000 they'll build between now and August during ramp up. 69,000 Broncos for 2021. 125,000 orders so 56,000 people won't get a 2021. All of the 125K "21" orders will be filled by March 2022. Hypothetically technically maybe

Yes
There are reports of widespread floor pan damage upon delivery to MAP affecting 2-door pans only. This has been suspected of causing more delays for the Jul 5 2-door group (or maybe all 2 doors?), as they have to repair the pans at MAP before use
[/QUOTE
Yes that got reported a while a go but as far as I read this has been sorted out by modifications to the transporter so hopefully there is no need to have to do that now

I sure as hell hope that the Heritage Edition only comes in a 2 door version.

longboard =wrongboard

4dr Bronco = Wrongco
yes, I'm sure Ford will cut out production of a specific edition for the 4 door which is outselling 2 door 4 to 1, makes perfect sense!

Born in the early 80s, the minivan was the ultimate conquest of function over form. Soooo ugly; looking back, I'm surprised we didn't revert to riding horses.

Wait, if they hit full production in August and that's 1000 a day, even at only 5 days a week that's 20,000 Broncos a month. 4 months of full 2021 production from August through November. That's 80,000 2021 Broncos. That's not including what's being built now till August. Why are we down to 40-50k?
because of parts constraints

man, you four door guys are a sensitive lot. Learn how to take some ribbing and we’ll let you join our Bronco tribe.

and I’m a grower not a shower, doesnt work too well with my 47 year old EB in the late fall when I pull the fan knob, twist the heat knob and it seems like nothing happens.
No actually I’ve noticed most of the 2 door guys are overly sensitive and seem to cry the most about the dumbest shit.
And this is coming from a 2 door order holder but then switched to a 4 door..

You can cry all you want about the 4 door Bronco, without the 4 door sales the 2 door goes bye- bye much like your tired ass joke that made little sense...

Yesterday on the OKTB thread Ross @PREMiERdrum made mention that the Ford guesstimate of 2021 orders that will be built this year are somewhere in the range of 45-50, 000 with the remaining being completed through third quarter of 2022. Thus far, Ross has been probably the best/most reliable source of info that actually comes to fruition. Believe me, as much as I wish he was wrong (nothing personal Ross) he is relaying reliable info.

62% hard tops. So much for the “shortage” trick to get people to change orders and spend more money. I like my new build but it’s well beyond my budget—and being built a full month (barring delays) after the same build I saw Mike Levine post today!
Um...math check: This week they building 770 hardtops out of 1394 total broncos. That's only 55% hardtops when the orders skew much more heavily toward the MIC hardtops.
