Raised two Kids in a 72 Bronco and a Bronco II. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
An ‘89 Eddie Bauer Bronco 2 was the only rig we had when I was a kid. Parents were broke and we pinched for everything we had, but the one thing that never let us down was that Bronco. The driver’s side seat-back gave out and had to be supported with a paint can wedged between it and seat folded behind it—which meant I got to roll around in the cargo area and wave at the people on the road behind us—but she never quit on us.
A lot of things made our life tough, but not that Bronco. Then again, I feel it did make us tougher…
Lots of love for that hoss.

From the other side of the aisle I actually came across a new Outer Banks sitting on a lot yesterday while coming back from a trail ride in Indiana. Bronco was in Illinois.

Roofline is about the same as the tallest point of my topper and it is wider of course. IIRC the Bronco has an extra two inches between the axles but overall not counting my spare I think they are about the same overall length... of course mine has more real world overhang to drag on stuff but my receiver hitch doesn't really seem to care much yet.

Ranger has a 3" bodylift, Explorer springs (plus some funny business in the rear to counter the extra height from the explorer leaves) V8 swap and is carrying enough camping gear to support a family of 3 for 3 nights two states away from home... it isn't normally that level. Tires are 31's.

Kind of weird how similar my wife's new car will be to my old faithful truck in a lot of ways.
