I’m sure if it was a left-hand drive country it would be one the first countries outside of the Americas to get it. But alas… they drive on the wrong side of the road down there.Glad to see the Bronco in Oz.
However, it should be FOMOCO selling it.
Ironic that the Bronco rides on a modified T6 Ranger platform (2011 to present) that was designed (superbly) by Ford Australia.
Yea it’s a giant wombat, koala hybrid with big teeth!Must be some giant marsupial-like creature, right?
That’s a good observation on import tax. I assume that was in place to protect auto manufacturing in Australia. None of the major automakers are building cars in Australia now. I’d watched a documentary called Ford v. Holden recently that was interesting. Here’s an interesting link talking about conversions:Back in the day Australia had a pretty high import tax based on the fair market and or purchase price of the vehicle. So people would sometimes grab a base model of a vehicle, import it, register it, and then go crazy with parts either from a higher end model and or aftermarket. I don't know what taxes or import rules are like now but I could see an importer starting with a more affordable model to gauge interest.
Do drop bears count? What is Aussie for Sasquatch?
What do you expect from one of those Countries that drive in the wrong side of the road?I can't understand why anyone would want a right hand drive vehicle!!
You can't drop the top in that Everest and drive about top-less.But I also know the Everest is sold down there—may not make sense to have both the Everest and Bronco.
I had an Everest, a left-hand drive model. One of the best trucks I ever had.I’m sure if it was a left-hand drive country it would be one the first countries outside of the Americas to get it. But alas… they drive on the wrong side of the road down there.
Still, the old Broncos used to be sold in Australia, and Australia has a big off-road culture, so it would probably do well. But I also know the Everest is sold down there—may not make sense to have both the Everest and Bronco.
