This week keeps getting better! I finally got to see the Bronco in person yesterday and this morning at 7:10am MT I received the email with my build date (week of July 19, 2021) and VIN!
I changed my order last week by removing only the hardtop and tow pkg...and changed color from Carbonized Grey to Rapid Red on my Big Bend Sasquatch with 2.7L, per the Ford letter instructions and it totally worked getting scheduled earlier, 7/29/2020 reservation. I would say listen more to what comes directly from Ford and less from your dealer, the event folks seemed very knowledgable and friendly. I would not have seen those Ford letters if they had not been posted on here so thank you Bronco6g members
5/26/2021 Bronco Event:
Both were 4Dr with soft tops, a black Outer Banks w/Lux pkg and cactus grey Black Diamond w/standard pkg. No Sasquatch for either.
-I asked about the 12V outlet in the rear cargo area if it only works while vehicle is on or always hot, the the event folks didn’t know for certain but said it probably only works while vehicle is on.
-There is absolutely no space underneath or in front of the back seats while they are folded down, they lay completely flat.
-I was impressed at the look, feel and quality of the soft top and will be happy using that for a while and will order hard top later to have both.
-The Broncos are pretty big without Sasquatch and look great, so it only gets better with it! I am 6ft tall and the non-sasquatch was about as tall as me. Shawn from the Bronco videos was there and he said Sasquatch will add 2in more the vehicle height.
-Saw both the 8in and 12in screens and got to play around with them while on, both are pretty responsive and both look really good. Obviously for most the 12in looks best and I agree, but the 8in is still large and will do just fine which is what I will be getting. For not upgrading by several thousand dollars just to get the 12in screen, the 8in is a great choice definitely worth the savings! If you’re on the fence about features like the bigger screen vs Sasquatch vs bigger engine, I would take the smaller screen and make the rest of the vehicle bigger and better. The 8in screen looks really good.
-I have seen some people say the interior looks cheap, the plastic looks cheap and I disagree. The plastic felt rigid and better quality than your average Honda, Nissan or Toyota plastic interior. I’ll just say it felt like a more expensive cheap plastic to appease everyone. I’ve had two Jeeps and it felt and looked much better than those!
-All of the knobs and buttons felt good quality with them being wrapped in rubber and looked and felt very durable.
Going back to see the Bronco in person for my 2nd day. I’ll post more pics and info that come up!
