Guys watch 2 attempts and are like, meh! ??ā€ā™‚?

I donā€™t rock crawl, but Iā€™m sure half the fun is trying to see if you can run different lines. You could probably find an easier way to get through, but why? You got a Bronco. See what works. I think they were also doing a bunch of testing on their camera system. One of the interior pics showed a paper next to the screen saying what camera was what. Iā€™m sure trying to use the cameras takes some practice as well instead of having a spotter telling you exactly what you need to do.

Love these last pics!

Pretty sure they ended up finishing the trail, we only got to see tiny clips so I wouldn't go judging based on these alone. In the end there's going to be stuff a jeep does better and stuff a bronco does better and some they do equally well and equally poor. If you want to do the Rubicon trail right after leaving the dealership, maybe you'll be better off in a jeep. But again who knows, none of us has driven this thing yet and most haven't even seen it in person either. What I would love to see is a 2 door badlands non-sasssssssquatch vs 2 door badsquatch running the same lines in various terrain to see just what the difference will be (and the same for the 4 door).

That's a good point.

We've heard that the camera system can effectively act as a spotter for all 4 wheels, but haven't seen much detail on that. I really hope they are try some trails just relying on those cameras and not an actual spotter. Don't know how often I'd recommend it outside of controlled conditions, but you know some people will do it, so good that it's getting tested.

I've tried to stay quiet for a long while. Every thread some is complaining about non ventilation seats... You do understand that this is a fully convertible off road vehicle. How do you expect to get mud, sand or a 3 inch flash rain storm out of a ventilation seat?? Stop already.

Glad I didn't pay for this pizza.

I don't see anybody in here talking about cooled seats but you.

Also...that soft top turned bikini top is some Fantasy Island FIRE.

If the Jeep were to finish the Rubicon trail ahead of the lovely Bronco 10 times out of ten, I will still pick the Bronco as my daily over the Jeep 10 times out of ten!?

Having said that I am certain that by the time Ford is done with all their testing and perfecting the Bronco will be a true competitor.

I feel the Bronco will be a better vehicle and companion for more varied types of use and as a great DD whereas the Jeep may in certain specialised trims may be a more ā€œhardcoreā€ crawler.

The Broncoā€™s future even at this early stage looks quite secure.

Found a few more photos from the Rubicon run from the NorCal 4x4 Rescue Facebook group. Not sure how far along they were when these were taken.

Photos don't show much, but I like the signatures on the doorframe.
