First wild sighting: Painted Black Mod Top on 2021 Bronco

At the very beginning I was on board with the painted top but after I saw in person pics IMO it doesn’t go well with all the matte accents and stands out like a sore thumb. Maybe if there were more black painted bits it’d look better but I’ll stick with the MIC.

These fender flares match a MIC top, not the painted top and that's what is throwing off the whole look. If you can't get them to match, then forget it and stick to the MIC.

Not feeling the look here, but I think those God awful big bend wheels are playing a big part in that. The grille doesn't match at all either.

The BB stock wheels are definitely a disappointment.

Part of the problem is that the 4dr magnifies design choices, good and bad. In this case, the size, how shiney it is...it's just too much. The looks of the 4dr is just inconsistent to me.

Maybe in a 2dr, with the right body color and window tinting it would look good.

The majority of members here have been complaining like crazy about the MIC top and even pushing their orders into 2022 to get the MOD top and now you see the MOD top and it sucks? LOL.

I think it looks good and I am glad it's available. It will come in white for 22 and it has some extra weight for maybe better sound damping. It makes somebody else's not look like your's so why be sad about something somebody else is happy about. In a few years it might be that "rare" top that everyone is swooning over. I think it's great and I hope ford keeps making more options. to make Bronco great!

Spotted in the wild (scroll down to see it). This is the one and only 4 door painted mod top we‘ve seen. The only other painted mod top seen was on the 2 door shadow black Badlands from last year, first seen at Super Cel West.

It gives the Bronco more class. If we are being realistic most people will be using their Broncos for work commute, weekend dates, and mall crawling, and other social functions where looks Trump other considerations and the mod top just looks cleaner and more refined.
As for scratching, getting a MIC just because of a concern about scratching seems too severe a solution if that is the only reason for not wanting the Mod top. My question is wouldn't a better solution be to order the mod top if you like it and apply the paint protective film to the mod top pieces just as we would on the body paint?
Some people have gone for the MIC because of the earlier availability ( even though this is becoming an issue) which in my humble opinion is a more justifiable basis for ditching the mod top.

I'm still on the fence with this top. I have this ordered with my antimatter blue black diamond. I agree with others that have already posted, if they offer the matching grill, mirror caps and flares that would really make it look alot better. To be honest, my hard top will only be on during the 3 winter months of the year we have down here in Georgia. The rest of the time will be with the soft top...

MIC- fits the Broncos ulitarian do anything attitude. The black Mod top is too purdy and makes it feel like a mom van...
