Has anyone coated the underside for preventative maintenance? I see a lot of Jeep and FJ owners doing this but typically after the vehicle has some miles on it. Thought it might be the perfect time to use a product like Fluid Film as it rolls off the shipping truck.

CRC Marine Corrosion Protectant is less "greasy" and longer lasting.... I did mine with CRC

I used FF for years on other equipment, and still do. The CRC is just cleaner

I used blaster surface shield. At that time it was only sold in the Cleveland area so I had a coworker buy some from Home Depot and ship it to me. Looks like Grainer/Napa/Harbor Freight has it in stock now. Main advantage was 2 year application so i won't have to redo it until next season. I bought 4 cans and did my underside with 2 of them.

I have used it on my old 4Runner and plan on doing so with the Bronco this fall. A must in the Midwest!

If you dont mind it dripping onto your garage floor its ok. I did it once and found I would rather use myunder carriage sprayer after a snowstorm etc. If you off road you will have a mixture of dirt and oil on your under carriage for months. Does it work, sure. Do other things work too? Yes….

When I lived in the Midwest I coated my Super Duty with it every winter and it is amazing. It looks like sprayed oil everywhere under it but the protection is well worth it.

I did it before my first winter with the Bronco. I'll continue to do it, I think it'll be worth it.

Yep, I do it every August when it's still hot out. Easier to spray and gets everywhere.

I had the underside done by RustKote and I don't even plan on driving it in winter. I've had other cars that were driven in winter done and it makes a huge difference if you can get it done before the rust starts.
