Ford closing Order Banks on multiple models coming April 29

Ford dealer told me early this week that come April 29th several more models will be closed for 2022 due to unprecedented customer demand and supply constraints.

They are imported from India, no real shared resources i would imagine.

We have already had to do the same. Our order intake is strong but not unmanageable across all our facilities. But we simply can get the stuff that goes into making our stuff and we have had to turn away business.

It’s not just Ford. GM opened the fleet order banks for 2023 model 2500 and 3500 trucks today. I have about 10 I need to order for work and hope to receive next spring. I’m still waiting on 13 of 26 that I ordered in October 2021, 7 of those aren’t even orderable configurations.

Any idea when the Bronco Order Banks will be opened again? The local dealer here told me I would have to wait 3 years, but somehow I don’t believe that.

I wasn’t able to grab a bronco and I had time constraints, so I cancelled my order and grabbed a Telluride for now.

Probably looking to pick up a Bronco in 2024 sometime. Hopefully things have calmed down a little by then.
