you get it.
I'm adjacent to the chip industry and I'm Gen X. I saw this coming last spring.

Pay people an extra $600 to stay home?

Don't get closer than 6 feet to other workers in any workplace, specifically a factory or logistics environment?

Stay home for 14 days if you have been exposed to someone who has been exposed to someone who may have gotten a false positive on a COVID test but wasn't showing any symptoms?

WHAT THE FUCK COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?!

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, it did. There's so much liability here it's unreal.
Why? I doubt the dealer shop is soldering chips to boards - they are likely just plugging in the back up camera module, etc.

well, pandemics are dangerous and maybe we were not prepared properly, made some errors. The real crime is if we are not prepared next time.

Thought this was an interesting statement from my local dealer.

"We're hearing that Ford might be sending unfinished vehicles to dealers with the necessary chips to complete the builds and having dealers install them to speed up the resupply."

Not sure how this plays!

Not one of the options being considered for Bronco.
