What's the tax benefit?

In New York I would only be charged sales tax for the difference between the trade-in and the new car sales price, so I’d be saving the equivalent of 8.875% (NYC sales tax) on the $28k ($2,485).

Just got off the phone with my bank.
For me 1.64% @72 months.
I'd do less months, but I also have a Maverick ordered that I plan to pay off not too long after purchase.

You only have to pay taxes on sale price minus trade in value as opposed to full sale price. So if the Bronco is 50k and trade in is 28k he only has to pay sales tax on 22k instead of 50

I contacted a local CU then my bank and my bank beat the CU before applying discounts for having accounts with them. The kicker for me is when to actually apply for the loan as the approval is usually good for just 30 days and with the volatile nature of scheduling you could get approved but then your build date could move out of the range the loan is approved for.

If they write you a check for $13000 (not likely) you would owe zero sales tax but the IRS would be looking for income tax on the $13K.! LOL..!
