The medium sized Ford Dealer local to me normally has 40-50 F-150's in stock. As of this weekend, they were down to 15. I just happened to check because I wanted to see AMB on any Ford vehicle (again!)

Looks like it may finally be the time to thin out the herd and put my Jeep and F250 up for sale...
I'm waiting until June to put my 2016 F250 up for sale. By then it will be as good as gold and I should be able to come close to paying off the Bronco.

in theory, yes. but no one can match china's cost, so unless everyone is willing to pay 20%+ more for literally everything, we're beholden right now.
Kinda hard to beat the cost of Slave Labor. 🇺🇲

Intel spending $20 billion to build two new chip factories, called fabs, in Chandler, Arizona.
It's good news. But it's going to take years.

I starting to wonder if there is an OJ curse preventing this vehicle to market. Chips, roofs maybe tires, leather. What’s next. Take your best guess you will probably be right.
My OJ Bronco needs a little work, and I'm working on it. I think I'll drive my bad luck charm around for a while.

Seriously thinking about buying puts on F... but I would feel dirty... giving them my Bronco downpayment like "here is the money I made off your failures"

For those not familiar with the stock market and what "puts" are, just skip this comment.

I asked about chip shortages impacting inventory and was told by my local dealer that they typically have 300 vehicles in inventory and currently have 50; 1/6, or 16.66%, of their normal inventory for this time of year. They said the chip shortage will exacerbate the situation. They may only have 10%, maybe less, of their typical inventory over the next several months. They kept saying it isn't supposed to impact Broncos, but we all know it's about buildable units.

Basically it boils down to no one is getting a Bronco, unless it's a Bronco Sport (BS), and I don't know anyone looking for more BS from Ford.

Already Priced in. Took a 10% nose-dive after the Q2 earnings call.

I never play anything around earnings anyways, but if the bad news keeps rolling in I could see another decent drop and May 14 $10.50 puts are like 0.04 right now. But you can't judge anything by the chart because of the recent earnings so it would be a dice roll, could go down or could fill the gap.

Went by a Chevy dealer today and it looked bare and empty.
Same here. Was out and about and saw a Chevy and a Dodge across from one another. Neither was over 20% capacity. I could have even safely done donuts in my SuperCrew in the Chevy lot!

Dealers near me have only a tiny fraction of what they usual have.

One of the bigger dealerships in town is now advertising heavily to get people to sell him their used cars even if they aren't trading in. That's how few cars he has compared to demand.
I'm surprised. My local dealer has over 400 2021s on the lot... Over 60 are F150s and 26 Bronco Sports.
