Yeah, there will always be a need for test drives and getting hands on along with product specialists to assist. But 100s of basically the same truck on the lot at the same time? Hmmmm...
Maybe not in that sense, but there would need to be some inventory. When I got my Mazda it was because my focus died, I needed to find something that weekend to replace it. If I had to order something I would have been SOL

I'd definitely look into. A lot of lease cars with equity right now.
I will for sure look into it once it gets close to the end of my lease....because I will need to find a way to get around till my Bronco arrives hahaha

Interesting report:
Phil Lebeau has been doing a good job reporting on this issue. In a later report on Power Lunch, he quantified how much inventory levels have fallen:

Days Supply (Available Inventory)
  • April 2021: 33 days (most current month)
  • Sept. 2020: 50 days (7 months ago)
  • March 2020: 90 days (pre-pandemic)
  • Normal: 65-70 days
So current inventory levels nationwide are basically 1/3 of what they were a year ago, before the pandemic shutdowns began.

We are bound by law to intervene if this happens. Not that law has any real power these days. :(
what happened when Putin waltzed into Ukraine and took crimea??? There was NO response other than a little hand-slapping.

Seriously thinking about buying puts on F... but I would feel dirty... giving them my Bronco downpayment like "here is the money I made off your failures"

For those not familiar with the stock market and what "puts" are, just skip this comment.
I started with 1000 Ford shares and sell covered calls on them to afford my Bronco. I make about 1% per week and have recently increased the size of my position by 100 shares using the proceeds and taking advantage of the dip.

Basically I make about $450/month off the calls themselves. My plan was to take the time over the next year to build up the position so I could match cashflows to my Bronco loan, but my Bronco will be built in June, so i'll have to use regular money that I worked for (boo) to pay it off.

There’s only 3 chip manufactures for the world. Intel is the only US based manufacture. They’re years BEHIND the competition.
Intel is not the only one based in the US, AMD is also based in the US.

That is great. Hopefully they are not just executive offices. I can't remember the last time I saw any kind of semiconductor made in the USA.
Chips are made in the US all the time. There are several Intel sights in Oregon and Arizona that have been there for years. And that's just Intel.

This was in a Barron’s story today.

”Stellantis, the automobile giant formed out of the merger between Fiat Chrysler and PSA Group, has warned that the production impact of the global chip shortage will worsen in the current quarter before a slight improvement in the second half of the year”

At this rate I might be getting the Superduty Tremor too then.
But even more incentive for me to hold out for the 2022 SD Tremor at this point as I was on the fence in pulling the trigger. I realize I want the sync 4, wireless charging and other interior upgrades. No sense in getting the same interior & electronics that I have now in my f150.
