Where did the 185k number come from? Ford has been saying 165k for a while.
It was 165k at the end of July. That's the # most reported.
185k must be at a later date.
But there is a difference of over 300k if you compare the first reservation numbers to the most recent. Who knows what the actual reservation number means.
I reserved mid August, # 1401017xx. Hoping 185k reservations is more accurate, I may be somewhere around the 80,000th person to get a Bronco after the fallout from reservations to actual orders takes it's toll.

Jim Burke Ford in Bakersfield CA, just got back to me and stated they will not be requiring any additional deposit at time of order. Maybe we could add a column to the ADM/Xplan spreadsheet showing what the various dealers will be charging for a deposit at time of order as we get that information.

So they WILL be expecting an additional deposit at order time.
Of course they will. You really didn’t expect to be able to order a vehicle to your exact specs with a $100 dollar deposit, did you?

depends on the dealer. many of the reputable ones have already stated that the initial 100$ is sufficient.

I did, because my dealer specifically told me that would be sufficient. Many dealers with lots have orders (mine included) have said that is fine.

No email for me. Feel so left out.
However, if I don't get the "stage of production" emails/status then I will be PI$$ED ! The whole stage of creation thing I am going to take seriously for this machine.

My dealer has been very communicative. Although they still claim there's not really any new news. Even the 9/25 broadcast that dealers on here made a big deal over, they claim they didn't get? Seems odd that Ford would have left this market out being we are kind of right in the area where the controversy came from (I assume it was Chicago area dealers who complained if any). Anyway, not important to me as I'm a real early reservation, and my dealer is one of the 2 largest in this area...allocation shouldn't be a problem. He said deposit, if any, should be nominal. They are still undecided on this...but it's not going to be huge $

That's great! Seems like a risk for the dealers though... I'd want a deposit on anything someone special ordered. But... I am not a car dealership, nor do I want to be. ;)

Not unless Ford makes us do it..
My dealer said that as well...they are not sure if Ford is REQUIRING a deposit...or if that language was to open the door for dealers who CHOOSE to do so...thanks for clarifying!

The reservation #s do not align with real reservation #s. There is some voodoo in Ford's numbering system.

The res numbers have no correlation to the time stamp that is what Ford is using and the numbering seems to be random, we have a good selection to be able to test in on...

I sorted by res number and the first 5 in order were from the 13th to the 18th of July.
