Ford finally took the sheets off its new mid-size electric SUV, a tribute to the automaker’s best-selling Explorer.
The fully electric Explorer, built on Volkswagen’s MEB platform, is expected to start at less than $50,000.
Europe only. Excited to see how learnings from this translates to the NA Explorer in the future.

Looks like a concept car. Not sure what I think of it. Looks small though, more like an edge.

Its about 20" shorter than the domestic market Explorer
A ford Edge is about 185" long - roughly in the middle between the European Explorer and the Domestic Explorer

With a length of under 177.1 inches (4.5 meters), the Explorer EV is slightly shorter than the Volkswagen ID.4 with which it shares the underpinnings, offering seating for five.

Current domestic market Explorer:

Wheelbase119.1 in (3,025 mm)
Length198.8 in (5,050 mm)
Width78.9 in (2,004 mm)
Height69.9 in (1,775 mm)

I kind of like the looks. A tad generic, but nothing offensive. I can see why it's Europe only, Americans would have an aneurism seeing the Explorer name on a car smaller than an Escape.

Small cars is where electric shines right now.

I like it - it'd make a great commuter car for me - the BadSquatch's a bit of an overkill for that purpose.
