Totally agree, brother.Keep in mind this forum is a small fraction of the total reservation holders and I believe it was stated about only half have placed a reservation. Those ordinary people will probably buy the usual colors and Bronco will follow the same pattern as the rest of the market.
You can bet your bottom dollar (but not the top one, it’s apparently easier to spend) that all of Ford will be watching the results of 165,000 custom orders and what it means for color selection, accessories, trim selections, options within trims, etc etc etc.Keep in mind this forum is a small fraction of the total reservation holders and I believe it was stated about only half have placed a reservation. And on the leasing theory, it kicked off in volume in the 90’s—look when the shift to vanilla happened ...OP is right, vehicle sales by color by year...
And, with black interior. Looking back my experience's have been most dealer ordered vehicle will be one of the top four, with black interior. As stated, I think also it's because people will except those colors before they would go through the process of making a special order. Plus, I willing to bet there are a great number of folks out there they don't realize they can special order the exact vehicle color, and options they want.https://www.autoblog.com/2020/10/12/most-popular-car-colors/
Nearly 77% of car colors ordered are White, Black, Gray or Silver.
- White, 23.9%
- Black, 23.2%
- Gray, 15.5%
- Silver, 14.5%
- Red, 10.3%
- Blue, 9%
Exactly! And those cars are all boring
This here is the reason we don't see "exciting" colors on most cars.I think it’s reflective of “people are willing to buy those colors” so dealers will put them in inventory, versus those are the colors that people really want.
It’s more of “I’m not offended by this color” and a low risk for inventory.
