FYI the make a part so the rack will sit below the tire so you can fully open the door with the rack in the flat position.

Do you have a part number for the reverse end plates?
I don't see it on their site.

I wasn't satisfied with the available anti-rattle options and wanted something that was tool-less, so I drilled & tapped a hole in the receiver and put in a 3/8" bolt with a knob head. Super easy and fast to put my bike rack & hitch extension on now.

I also ran into trouble with my 1up rack making it inconvenient to open the tailgate and it didn’t allow for towing a trailer or having other tailgate accessories (like a basket). So I made this adapter plate and tailgate limiter. If anyone is interested shoot me a message.

Wow excellent work that is extremely cool. Doesn't block the door, no departure angle issue and doesn't make the parking sensors go crazy nor block the camera?! I'm a little concerned about the amount of leverage applied though by how far the bikes hang away from the door

Thank you! The backup camera is clear, which is why I didn't make it lower. I have a tailgate reinforcement bracket which I recommend. I have had two bikes on it plus all my body weight and I was able to shake the whole bronco without any flex on the tailgate or rack.

As a green 2-door owner with 1UP racks (I have the Kuat pivot), well done, especially bypassing the camera and sensors. Now the obvious question: Will it fit in your garage with the bikes mounted?

Thank you! I haven’t measured, but it’d be close. I don’t have the pleasure of parking in the garage, the wife won that battle.

While I like the spare tire carrier, I am concerned about the weight on the spare tire carrier. For those of you with the 1UP carrier on the hitch - when you have it installed without the bike, how easy is it to load things into the tailgate/cargo area. I have a 2 door, so I access the tailgate quite a bit for everything that's not a bike (and right now for a mtb too).

This is my primary hang up, and I'd rather not go to the swing away if I can help it. I'm looking at the single quik rack, I guess the other solution would be to remove it when I'm not biking as much.

Has anyone done this set-up with the 4 bike attachment and loaded with 4 bikes? Does the extender change the weight limitations of the 4th bike spot?

That seems like a lot of weight, especially if you are talking 30-50 lb mountain/e-bikes, using the newer heavy duty racks they are selling, and planning on taking it offroad to a trail head.

Yeah that is what has me worried. Two of the bikes would be kids bikes so a 20 and 24 inch, but still might be stretching it beyond the load it can handle.

I really like your idea. I’m looking for a tool-less option as well. How has this worked out and held up with the weight of the rack/bikes on the bolt thread?

I have the 1-up equip'D 2inch with two add-ons. I have not had my hitch installed yet, ordered it as a factory option, but it was not ready when I picked up the bronco. I am having it installed this week, and then will figure out if I am going to use the equip'D with the RakAttach or if I am going to go a different route altogether with like a vertical mount set-up and try to sell the Equip'D.
