Not to start an argument. Just questioning why you consider it just cosmetic? A crack that shouldn’t be there will eventually cause more issues. My Work vehicle has cracked at a body panel body line crease. Now it’s rusting. Cracked tops will eventually look like a newspaper in your driveway left in the rain.
I agree with you about cracks and unfinished edges. The snakeskin/honeycomb effect is cosmetic, however, and not worth the effort that goes into replacing in my view.

I'm wondering why anyone would not be concerned about a glaring cosmetic issue on a brand new vehicle. At this point I don't want a wavy, rippled, honeycombed top with or without the cracks.
I didn’t see photos of your original top, the first replacement, or the second replacement. All I know is your Bronco has been at the dealer since November and you’re still expecting to wait another month. To me, it sounds like someone thinks you’re being too picky but, again, I’ve not seen any of the four tops you’ve had (so far).

Has anyone ever figured out what percent of the tops have had problems? All of this discussion gives me a nervous twitch thinking about my 2 door 24 badlands. Have some not had any problems from the beginning? Can I hope mine was built on a good day?

There's no accurate way to determine that. Even though many have never had an issue, you'll rarely see anyone with a perfectly normal top make a post. So its obviously going to seem very skewed on here.
Some have issues, some don't 🤷‍♂️

Does the Ford Extended Warranty continue to cover the top after the initial 3 year/36,000 miles?

This statement is spot on. I'm one that has a good top (2022). I'm fast approaching my 3 yr warranty end date and I've gone over the top a couple of times and will one last time. Nothing. I suspect that mine happens to have a fairly uniform resin thickness over the whole top. So no cracks or snakeskin.

Same. Mine is also a 22 with no issues. It has some very slight rough edges where there are separate panels, but nothing to even worry about. Plus in 3 years, sitting outside 24/7, it hasn't gotten any worse.

For those of us that have went through several tops, we just want one of those mythical good ones :)

Problem is the top is a key component and expensive to replace post warranty. I'm probably one of the least nitpicking persons around here, but I've got a small area of top cracking that I'm keeping an eye on, and it's a concern.

I've got 3 Jeep hardtops at my residence currently, including one from 1985, and somehow they have held up ok compared to some of the surface cracking and delamination seen on fairly new Bronco tops.

Actually now that I think about it... It's impossible that it wont fit, or that the pin locations are different

Because you cant even order the old part number anymore, It's been replaced by the new one. So that means the original part number and the new one have to mount the exact same 🤷‍♂️
Otherwise Ford would make some type of note saying something else needs to be replaced to make the new part fit.
In the meantime, at a Jeep dealership across town, there are technicians trying to figure out why a customer's replacement top doesn't align on a Wrangler. Furthermore, the dealership security camera caught an outsourced contract auto parts delivery service driver laughing hilariously as he posted his TikTok video and sped away.

Sounds really odd the dealer thinks they have 2 misaligned tops. Is it not lining up front to back or side to side? I could see a little flex needed side to side, but no way it shouldn't line up front to back. I would at least them that to begin with but I'd really want to see pictures of what they're saying or see it in person.

There’s nothing that suggests the cracks are more than a cosmetic issue right now. You can assume it’ll cause bigger issues in the future, and it may, but right now it doesn’t appear that way.
I’m certain it will after warranty period. Cracks in much more substantial materials like fiberglass or carbon fiber continue to worsen. I don’t see how the lesser hard top material won’t.
