Ford made a change in 2 Dr tops ?

Hopefully they arent trying to put the locating pins into the bolt mounting holes….

That’s what I’m thinking, when the transferred the locating pins from the original top to the new one they put them in the wrong holes.

On another note , I thought Ford would not let you keep and sell a top that was replaced ?

I did not get a chance to go Friday but swung by there on Saturday. They only had one service advisor in during that time but he did say he was familiar with the top issue. He made a couple of calls and said the newest top would be in mid-week and should have it ready by next Friday. He was adamant that Ford had made a change and for some reason they had shipped the latest design. My salesman was there, and he said he would do what he could on Monday to find out more.
I've told them multiple times that we have a trip scheduled for the weekend of Feb 14th and supposed to tow our camper to do some off-roading with friends. This time I stated that if it wasn't ready by then to fully expect their loaner vehicle, a F-150 XLT 4x4 to be brought back in a less than desirable condition

Yep , I'm going to give them until this Friday and see how this next top goes before I have a come-a-loose ,lol.

its ford right to exclude anything from the esp - I just don't understand why they wont, aside from the possibility they don't feel confident financially standing behind the top beyond the 3 years

my spidy sense says the top is going to be an issue for Ford down the road sometime
I could be wrong but of all the flaws that we see / read on form, the top has been a big one
Once these tops get to be beyond 5 years old will see if they are still holding up, cracks or no cracks

save me some time searching - are the current MIC tops, the 25 body colour painted tops or shadow black or heritage white tops all the same supplier?

My 2 Door top seems to be just fine. Lives outside 24/7 and no cracks or any warping, but won’t like, I see the issues and the pics and it’s concerning. Since I don’t wash my truck often (did today as it was covered in mud from wheeling yesterday!) I do often wonder about dirt and grime getting in between the material and causing issues and de lamination.

Today is actually my Bronco 2 year anniversary, so I’ve got another year and another summer to watch what happens and I won’t hesitate to replace under warranty since my extended likely doesn’t cover it it seems.

However, nothing stops a future class action suit or recall from being triggered, but for us lucky ones, keeping the fingers crossed.

Not that this would play into this situation, but I noticed when I looked at a 2 dr heritage, that it had a sunroof "cutout" option in rear part of top...hadn't seen that before, so maybe this new roof is how all 2 doors come?

Wow that is a kind offer but I'm in Central Bama. I found one with glass and all hardware for 1k in Tennessee. I may go pick that one up if it hasn't sold by my next off day.

That's the Original Mod Top that was originally offered, but was quickly made Not Available when the G6 Bronco was first released.

We called it the Gunner's Hatch like is on military vehicles.

Does anyone know if a mic top will fit in the bed of a new F-150 ? All I can find online is the overall width of the bronco with/without mirrors extended but I know the body gets narrower as it nears the top . Was going to go pickup a top I found for sale tomorrow if I could get it in the F-150.
