Well I know all they can do is see the information that's in the system so maybe the root of the question would be how accurate is the information they get.

I got my VIN two weeks ago. Dealer and Ford Marketing told me build week of 3 Oct. Dealer said delivery end of Oct; Marketing said around Christmas.
WTF?!?

Well my dealer hasn't been the one to provide me information. I called Ford marketing on August 17th they said build week was September 5th but no email, I then received the email a week later with a September 12th build week. Called Ford marketing today and same build week and build date of the 16th estimated delivery of October 8th. So the times haven't been super far off but who knows really in the end

The information "they" get is probably quite accurate.
The more important question is: How good was "they" trained in the nuances of finding, interpreting, and accurately conveying the information in the system.

There are multiple systems to track. The one that’s available to Marketing is the one the dealers use as well. Roughly accurate.

Even if they have correct information you can't really rely on it. Go read some of the build week threads.
Mine started a couple weeks late and then the plant mysteriously shut down for two weeks with mine on the line.
Then it started back up. Mine finishes up and goes straight onto a train but all the ones that came off the line before the shutdown sat for weeks to months before getting shipped out.
Some people get built and shipped promptly.
So the information that we got a VIN and build date was accurate, but anyone who sold their current car or got their loan set up had to scramble.

Accurate is not a term I would use….at all. It’s not a question of accuracy as that would show intent towards a goal based on knowledge of said goal.
They’re entire job is to simply diffuse any and all consumer complaints with vague notions of deflection.
They have no real information.
They have no power to influence positive change.

So I don't know but they said the date was the 16th to be built but my blend date according to my window sticker I received today is the 14th.

Only 2 days off. That's great.
Call them back and see if you can get an answer as to why they just randomly changed the color on my order and if there's anyone who can do anything about getting it built in the color I ordered and they confirmed on the tracker right up until the day it went into production, 20 days after I had my VIN.
