Yeah, I managed to get the price up to $36.5k by adding a bunch of optional accessories and upgrades, except smokers package... blech.

I'm really quite shocked with the price. Was just having a "turn to" conversation about this truck and I think I'm going to get one for my wife. Fully loaded it's coming in at under 40k, it gets better mileage and has higher capability than what she's driving now.
Yeah, I mean once the Broncos paid off, we may end up looking for a more utilitarian second option. In three years the landscape may change some, but I. Certainly would be looking at the lower end version of this with a couple comfort options as a second vehicle choice.

I think Ford is trying to lead in the younger generation to Trucks. (I say younger as i’m a Gen Z myself lol)
My theory is that Ford’s like “well the younger generation doesnt like trucks so if we dont introduce it to them in a way they’ll like the purpose of them long term than the truck will die; lets make one that has big bubbly eyes and quacks when you squeeze it.”
And why it is a hybrid. It has to appear as being planet-safe.

A working BnP on reveal day...what a concept.

It's also a little irritating that 2022 Mavericks will be rolling out AHEAD of many 2021 Broncos.
That only can help. Ford gets the revenue it planned for the Bronco rollout. Maybe we'll get our hard tops sooner.

I like it a lot less than I thought I would. It just looks off to me. The overall shape of it just seems weird to me.

Not a bad looking vehicle. I used to drive a 2009 Platnum F-150 but had rental properties back then. Now it would be nice to have a small truck and with great gas mileage.

I really miss 2 door and 2 door extended cab trucks. Something about the proportions of 4 door trucks just looks so wrong to me.

I was all ready to put in a reservation for a Maverick... But there’s no AWD/4WD. That’s a no-go for me. :(
Hybrid is FWD only, but you can get AWD with the 2.0L Ecoboost (y)

Did I miss something, do they offer AWD?

EDIT> Ah... got it. Hybrid is FWD only. Hmmm.... Still a bummer. But mildly tempted still. We’re super happy with the 2.0L engine in our Badlands Sport thus far. Mileage could be better, but considering its low gearing and aerodynamics of a brick, it is what it is.
If the hybrid came with AWD, I'd strongly consider getting one.
