Ford really hates 2 door trucks for some reason. Like despises them.

My wife and I actually saw a standard 2 door base pickup at our LFD last weekend. It actually looked strange and the proportions just didn't seem right. I can't remember when I last saw a 2 door pickup before then.

I think the Ranger will morph into the Bronco Truck...give it a style update to the body to be more in line with the Bronco...I hope they keep the fixed doors but more of a move to bring that under the Bronco brand. Personally I think the idea of making a gladiator version of the Bronco is a bad idea...just upgrade the Ranger and use that.

If Ranger moves into the Bronco brand the Maverick can loosely fill in the Ranger spot as more of an old school mini truck or as mentioned sport track sized truck.

what's the point of having another Ridgeline on the market when they already have the Ranger?

If only ford made a 2 door maverick or ranger, I'd switch over from the bronco to that in like 2 seconds.

I wouldn't hate this idea. If the current Ranger came with the 2.7L I wouldn't be waiting for a Bronco right now. Should the next gen Ranger share some of the Squatchy goodness learned on the Bronco it would more than meet my needs. I can mount an RTT on a pickup just as well if not easier than I can the Bronco.

I get it. I would never buy a 2 door truck myself. But making a tiny subcompact truck with 4 doors is pretty ridiculous, IMO.
