I had mentioned in this thread and others that I thought the B&P launch would be tomorrow but it does look like it will be Friday after all - very early.

As others have said, I am shocked that Ford IT would do this on a Friday.

Willing to make a bold statement that the majority (that's 51% or more, for those counting ballots at home!) of users on here will end up spending more on customization, mods, parts, accessories, cool badges, etc., in the first year of Bronco ownership than X-plan would have saved them.

X-plan isn't knocking 5% off the price or anything. It's a little haircut off the price.

If X-plan is indeed confirmed then i'll change my reservation to a different dealership in-state to save on sales tax. Just the difference in sales tax in WA state between counties can be as much as $1,500-2,000 in savings. More of a hassle than X-plan, but gets the same job done.

B&P must really suck if they're preceding it with news that X-plan won't be allowed to lower our excitment first.

IT doesn't deploy on Friday! If they do, they'e being extremely reckless!

I have zero idea if Ford will have a Friday change window. However, in a non-CI\CD World, a TON of companies choose to deploy on Friday night\Saturday\Sunday. This is especially true for companies where the greatest risk for business disruption occurs during the week.

Additionally, if the roll-back plan calls for an extended window, the very last thing you want to do is to jeopardize start of the next business day for mission critical systems in the event you reverse the change.

Extremely reckless for a lot of companies would be the exact opposite of what you are unequivocally stating as a fact. That said, this isn't mission critical...its just a B&P tool. Different set of rules that are much less stringent. I will go with a Thursday night deployment!
