I didn't realize that until recently. Also explains the absence of grab handles over the doors
To which I call BS! My Tundra has both airbags AND grabhandles in the front posts.

Ah, yeah. But why not the A-pillars? That's all you need usually....
It's a very common accessory on Jeeps. Since the Bronco doesn't have a-pillar handles, I had been wondering why there were no overhead accessory ones until I found out it's because of the airbags.

Is PPF really gonna protect the paint long term, when in a situation where the issue is constant rubbing from vibration? Or is the damage happening from raising and lowering the soft top? I figured PPF was good for incidental contact... not for constant rubbing...

The damage seems to be only from raising and lowering the top

@BuckyAsh - Any close-up pictures of Ford’s “fix”? It’s been a few weeks since your post…

There’s a TSB that just came out to address this.
Sorry for my ignorance, but does a TSB give a resolution to the issue, are dealerships to implement a fix before a vehicle is delivered, or is it just an FYI of a known issue?

I had already bought some felt tape to address this....Oh well I can beef it up more.
LOL, yeah me too. I bought some from Amazon as soon as people started reporting it. :)

What about plain old pipe insulation ? And plastic handcuffs or duct tape You? You only need to protect the top and the added thickness might help with rear side window sag. Or more pricey dedicated roll bar wrap that comes in colors to match.

I would doubt that the actual air bag sensors are in the rail and Takata explosive power should be enough to blast through whatever you cover roll bars with
