Ford MOLLE Grate System For Swing Gate, MOLLE Straps, MOLLE Bags - Pictures

I did not want the fold down system for the swing gate, so went w/ the Molle Grate System w/ Molle Bags and also bought the velcro, I mean Molle Straps. I will get way more use of out storage bags than a drop down plate, and I was worried about the rattle.

Before we look at the pictures I want to note; on Levittown Ford Parts page for the Genuine Ford MOLLE Grate System For Swing Gate - it states "MOLLE Bags (pictured) ... are sold separately" --- I did not find that to be the case, the Grate System came w/ the bags. So i ordered a second set of bags I did not need possibly. The Genuine Ford MOLLE Bags came in its own box w/ a one page instructions (page 4 below) and the Genuine Ford MOLLE Grate System For Swing Gate came in it's own box w/ the bags. - YMMV but I think that the bags come w/ the Grate System package.

Genuine Ford MOLLE Straps - VM2DZ-99550B25-A - not much to say about velcro - there are punch outs on the larger side, just didn't punch them out yet.

Closeup of the back w/ the hooks - these are on the top and bottom (this is a no drill, it also has strips of adhesive tape on the sides, check install doc to see how the tabs connect to the tailgate)

Genuine Ford MOLLE Bags - VM1PZ-10C744-A - these are also included w/ the Grate System - see top note at the beginning of the post. Wished the Bags were branded, but they are nice and have a lot of "compartments" and such inside each pouch.

Nice that it's a no-drill option. I decided against the fold-down table because I didn't like the idea of drilling the tailgate for something I might not get a lot of use out of - and concerns of it developing a rattle over time.
Might have to add this to my list...

Thanks for the detail. I ordered this and the bags at time or placing my order with Granger. Nice to see it is a no drill add on...after seeing the screw issue with the too long of screw on the table.

I like this option. I'm going to try and wait until mine is being transported before I buy any accessories...at least that's the plan. Who knows if I can actually stick to it.

One thing that I didn't see in the instructions is that you must pop off(easy) the plastic cover plate that's over the wiring harness.

I have had mine installed for a while with a lot of stuff in the molle bags and it has held up

I think AR (eightlug) is working on carbon composite molle panels and one is for the rear tailgate. I think I will wait. I love the factory hard panel ones on my BD seat back and worry with time about fabric panels sagging.

Ok spend the last of my FordPass points and few dollars more on the Molle bag rack. It will not fit, there is not any stretch in the bottom hooks and when I try to connect them the top hooks will pop out. The stitch line on the bottom hooks is right at the top of the hook plastic. Any ideas?
Just when out and did some measuring with a strong scale, the most distance I could get between the hooks was 11 7/8" the distance from the bottom of the top slot to the top of the bottom slot is 12 3/8", looks like I'm going to have to move the bottom hook down 1/2".

So my plan is to install the Rough Country fold down table and attack the ford molle panel to that. Thinking it will probably require some modification but hoping it is do-able!
