Ford Oil Change Cost

just got my braptor.

Question for you guys, for those of you servicing your bronco at Ford, how much are they charging?

Saw a post on FB with people saying dealer charges $90.

i think my dealer quoted $210.

I paid like $ 148 3 months ago, 2.7 engine with full synthetic, with filter of course.

Cost of oil and filter, at list price is $62.53. Almost no one charges list on oil changes. $90.00 in Jersey after enviro fees, tax, maybe rotation is probably realistic. $210.00 for a standard interval service, nope.

First change Bell Ford in Phx, AZ charged me about $90 using their recommended oil.
Second change North Country Ford in Coon Rapids, MN charged me if I remember correctly about $102 using their recommended oil, and a 5-tire rotation.

In return I received some FordPass rewards, roughly 800-1000 points, per service.

Paid $63.65 with 2.7L at Lithia Ford in Boise.

We pay $0.00, and we both have bronco's ( 1 sport) other full sizes.
We got it in our plan and used ford points to get them for the next 3 years, for free

The Ford 5W-30 Full Synthetic is pricy. A case (12 quarts) on eBay is around $100 with shipping.

So the retail value of the oil alone is $50+.

Changed the Bronco oil yesterday. Motorcraft 5W-30 Full Synthetic…. SIX QUARTS!……. Also, installed my Ronin drain plug.

Since I have driven two previous Fords (Explorer & Expedition) over 300,000 miles each, using the Motorcraft Synthetic Blend @ 5,000 mile change intervals, I‘m going to continue to use the Motorcraft oil.

Anyway, the cost to do it yourself is $55 to $60, $65 to $70 if you’re in the 7 quart group.

My dealer charged me something like that $210. I wasn’t paying attention since I was using points. But then I saw my remaining points balance was near zero! This also included a 5 tire rotation, but they only did 4 even though it was typed out on the work order. So I drove back, complained, and got most of my points back. They also discovered they’d put in some incorrect code for the oil change. The service desk guy was new…

Labor price.
Which dipstick?
Taxes.
Environmental fees.

Paid $63.65 with 2.7L at Lithia Ford in Boise.

Lithia has a great Lifetime Free Oil Changes package for about $900.00.

We bought that when we got my wife's new car in 2017.

You can get the oil changed at ANY Lithia dealership, even if it isn't the same brand.

WORTH IT.

In accordance with the manual both Synthetic Blend and Full Synthetic are the recommended oils. Do you know which one the dealer used?

A few weeks ago I paid around $73 at the Ford Quick lane near me for my '16 F150 5.0.

They're actually getting people to pay over $200 for an oil change?!?!? WOW

I had my first oil change with a Ford complimentary coupon. I requested full synth, and they hit for $80 additional. So the $210+ seems right.
