Seeing as we already have spy shots of the “Warthog” as being IFS I’m gonna say no.

Also all Broncos (and even F150s) have coilovers in the front. This is most likely for a Super Duty application.

Heck if anything I would bet ford is toying with making their own superduty raptor, similar to the aftermarket conversions that are out there.

why would ford throw their advantage over jeep away
good question? The IFS is smooth on the road, so my guess it’s for more extreme vehicles like a warthog or maybe an option..idk

Can’t be. Then doesn’t that imply Ford is conceding that Bronco with IFS can’t rock crawl like a Wrangler?
actually I don’t think Ford is worried about conceding..they want to make the best product.

if the old solid front axles were too heavy for today’s gas mileage standards then Ford decided it wasn’t feasible

looks like by the patent Ford is saying that the solid axle systems out there right now are too heavy ...I will say when Ford put in for this patent is when they put in most of their Bronco Patents ..but this one took the longest for the the USPTO to award.

most of them were awarded last year..
