these target adds are ridiculous right now it is showing a ceiling lift system for a Jeep top.
in another thread talking about accessories it was for jeep-top tents...

LOL !! it's the way it goes in this forum. the conversations wander back and forth. other thread they are talking  and boats in another.

That's what happens when everyone has exhausted the analyzing of the latest news. LOL the "lull in the action".

Awesome.

But how does the rear door open...

I think most here think it will be a swing gate. Personally I would like a tailgate. Good workbench on the trail.

Same here. Would rather have a tailgate. But I'm not that picky. I had a 2-door Tahoe with barn doors and didn't mind that. Also had a K1500 Blazer with a tailgate/liftglass...That was fine too.

I’d like the tailgate too, but they have a lot of cool aftermarket drop-down benches for swing gates nowadays if it goes the other way.

Yeah, I'm assuming swing gate due to the spare, unless they make it a separate piece.

Awesome.

But how does the rear door open...
if I were a betting man (based on the info) it will be a swing gate with a frameless rear window. So the window will roll down. Allowing the back roof to come off like t top.

Wonder if they'll copy mercedes and put the door speakers/woofers on the side of the footwell. Can't find the right model but I'm pretty sure it was a thing.
I'd like to keep speakers with the doors off.

I really hope it's a tailgate. So much better for hunting so you aren’t getting your interior dirty.

And it's nice to sit on!

Here’s an example of both lol:

Maybe they will bring this concept they used from the 60’s to the early 90’s haha

What if the rear windows somehow slide down into the rear quarter panels?

I was thinking the same thing! T-tops up front, Targa top over the back seats, then the rear section... maybe. And that they are attempting a roof rack with the removable top.

The innovative doors could either be a game changer or a disaster lol (alignment, squeaks, leaks)
I agree. A horizontal surface, with tons of seams, in snow, ice and rain with a twisting, 4 wheeling frame underneath!

I hope we get a hard top option like the original. Maybe in Aluminum.
