Has anyone installed or found a dealership to install the Ford Performance Steering Rack?

Attempting to resolve the largest weakness on my '23 Badlands, which seems to be the weak steering rack. The Ford performance rack seems to be the best option, but reprogramming modules is something I'd screw up. Has anyone found an installer local to So-Cal?

Yep, read all the post here and elsewhere. At some point 8 pages into discussions about issues with reprogramming modules and having to fool the systems I decided that the computer stuff is beyond my ability or interest.

So I'm still looking for a local installer in So-Cal.

You'd think if Ford offers the replacement performance steering rack they would offer dealership installation, but dealers I've called have been clueless.

It’s really not hard, and hard to mess up, but most Ford dealerships won't touch it.

If you are willing to go to Temecula, you can try Gosch Ford.

I've called them five times and everytime I get someone of the phone they don't know, say they have to ask the service manager and will call me back- but they never do

Gonna get a quote from Ken Grody in Buena Park but curious what they charged you for labor on that at Galpin? Also did they make you purchase the ProCal Tool?

When I spoke to Galpin two weeks ago they said it's about $1350 labor, plus the steering rack, plus ProCal.
The Ford Performance center is not at the dealership, it's a seperate business. They said if I had the parts delivered to the dealer, they would pick them up and do the installation. He didn't know if they could get it done in one day, which could require an overnight stay or driving two cars up and back x 2, I hate LA traffic.

Ooof, another reason everyone is doing DIY I guess!

I’ve heard the dealers should have the software to not need the Procal Tool, guess thats either incorrect or dealer is just getting all they can selling parts.
