Why should equipment that’s only needed when you upgrade to bigger, heavier tires be standard?
Because you're competing in the market with Jeep for off roading capability. You also have 'lift me baby' stamped in the inner wheel well. You also advertise this vehicle as the ultimate in modularity. Because you are partnering with aftermarket companies (i.e. 4WP, etc) on such mods.

We're not talking about a Ford Escape or Honda Civic here.

You say that as if Jeeps don’t need upgraded steering to run huge tires. It’s part of the game.

Or you find a thread that’s relevant to you and don’t care how old it is. Weird people get bothered by “resurrected” threads on a forum.
They're upset that they can't yell ..... "DONT CHA KNOW HOW TO USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!!!"

God forbid you use it and then ask for any new/updated info from the old thread....

Not for slight modifications, they don't. We are necessarily talking about running 40s with 6" lifts. People are having issues with even the slightest lifts and moderate tire upgrades.

I haven’t see anyone having an issue running less than true 37’s

Hopefully this isn't too expensive as I'll be needing something like this for both my Broncos.

I saw a post where a Stock Sasquatch owner snapped a tie rod end just turning in the snow and another snapped a front axle shaft on a gravel parking lot.

Neither of those were bigger than stock tires.

That front axle shaft was defective on that Bronco. Haven’t seen anything about the tie rod in the snow.

I haven’t had any steering / tie rod problems out of my '85 SFA 4Runner.

Been running 36" TSL Swampers since 2000 with OEM Toyota steering components other than upgrading stabilizer shock for the oem unit.

Guaranteed "Severe Duty" usage without failing.

So back to center. Anybody been able to find part numbers for the rack yet?

The second one was not a snapped front axle, it was an axle that became disengaged in the CV joint. Truck had been lifted. The damage on the axle splines was really severe without it being driven for miles making a great grinding noise.

Hard to know if the lift was done properly or if the splines and axle became disengaged during the process to lift it.
