Maybe tougher more scratch resistant plastic?

ha ha ..You can get a Wrangler (and Gladiator) with both "hard" and "soft" tops, from the factory something Ford may NEVER offer us early adopters. By the time a proper painted modular roof becomes available for the Bronco they will have refreshed the vehicle design and the new top for 2025+ won't fit on a 21-24
if they can build enough of them, I agreeA 100% electric Maverick would be amazing and if priced conservatively enough could be a massive win. I would absolutely buy one to DD and the gas money it would save would probably cover most of its payment.
Made it out of here alright so you must be doing 2WD wrong lol. Let’s not forget rally cars in the beginning were all 2WD. Pretty sure most of those roads didn’t have tar minus the tarmac stages.2wd = Goes Over Any Tar covered road...
Here's mine you may see around Winston-Salem!I still very rarely see any others around Winston-Salem.
you mean like the crew cab Bronco...er.......anathema.............A 2 wheel drive only Bronco would be anathema to a purist, but because of reduced cost (no 4 wheel drive parts, etc..), it would sell like hotcakes to soccer moms, mall crawlers and cheap posers.

GM did something similar starting in around 2001 and offered them until 2007, but I think they skipped a few years in the middle for some reason. It was basically a light duty 2500 in that it was a 2500 body configuration (bigger crew cab body with a longer bed, neither of which were offered on 1500s at the time) with a 6.0 V8. I think they had 4 wheel steering, too.F-150 Super Duty
Tys are at the top of my "attainable" dream car list. Maybe once the kids are grown and gone, I'll be able to find one. I scour Bring A Trailer from time to time and rarely see them come up. I've seen a few Syclones, but that's it. I used to race my Lightning on an 1/8th mile track 20 years ago and a guy would bring out a Typhoon from time to time. I haven't seen one on the road in years. As for our beloved Bronco and Rangers, if you ever drove a 90's GMC Typhoon or Syclone then you would appreciate a street racing Bronco.
A Lowered AWD with 3.5V6 Bronco would tear up a lot of blacktop and interstate.
Some of you dream of Moab while some of us dream of Deals Gap, NC.
If you know about "The Dragon" then you know it ain't the road for your Bronco Raptor unless you plan to go slow and enjoy the view.
Ford had some strange variants too, like the 98 F250 which was an F150 with a stouter rear axle until the Super Duty came along then in the early 2000s an F150 7700 which was similar to that F250. Both had 7 lug axles, which was just Ford being weird.GM did something similar starting in around 2001 and offered them until 2007, but I think they skipped a few years in the middle for some reason. Perfect match for the 2.3LA 2 wheel drive only Bronco would be anathema to a purist, but because of reduced cost (no 4 wheel drive parts, etc..), it would sell like hotcakes to soccer moms, mall crawlers and cheap posers.
I don't see why they are making new variants when they currently can't deliver what they already designed to their customers.2024 or 2025 refresh?
Ford Says New Versions / Variants of F-150, Maverick And Bronco Are Coming
Some interesting nuggests of information emerged from Ford's Q2 2022 Earnings call this week. CEO Jim Farley confirmed the Mustang's debut at the Detroit Auto Show, and the Blue Oval's boss also discussed the F-150, Maverick, and Bronco.
According to Farley, three of Ford's most popular models have some incredible variants in the works.
"Our design center is filled with new products and derivatives that will further strengthen our hit vehicles in the ICE and hybrid franchises like F-150 and Bronco and Maverick," Farely said.We recently uncovered a trademark filing for the Maverick Lightning (and Ranger Lightning), but as he used the word hybrid and not electric, we think he's referring to something else.
Ford has previously acknowledged it was experimenting with an AWD version of the existing hybrid Maverick, so that could very well be what Farley was talking about. It's been a while, but we've also uncovered patents for a Maverick Tremor, so that could also be in the works at Ford. "You can only imagine the kind of things that we're cooking up in our design studio with Maverick," concluded Farley.
Farley also dropped hints about a new SuperDuty F-150. Really, that's all he said, so we won't speculate too much here. This could be anything, from a model-specific update to more far-reaching changes to the truck.
Besides, the prospect of a luxury Bronco is more interesting. People love to make fun of Bronco (and Jeep owners, more often) for parking their cars in lots instead of at trailheads. For those folks, Farley said that "you can imagine high-end versions, all sorts of things."
We certainly like the idea of a more uprated interior for the Bronco. While there are already roughly 77 zillion ways to build out a Bronco (and believe us, we do so endlessly), all trims are extremely off-road focused. It'd be nice to see the other side of that horse-shaped coin. We imagine we'll hear more at the 2022 Detroit Auto Show this September. That's always a huge event for Ford. -

So... they should just shut everything down and stop development completely until the chips arrive for the Dirt Mountain Broncos? And also don't bother building and delivering Broncos they do have parts for?I don't see why they are making new variants when they currently can't deliver what they already designed to their customers.
