@ADV Fiberglass tops are made in the USA. The rubber weather stripping they are waiting on might be made in China, but the tops are hand laid fiberglass in 'Merica.

Is this accurate? I thought they were just waiting for a component (rubber), not the manufacture of the complete top?

If i paid and waited for the hard top and had that happen id be pretty upset. that's ridiculous.

We don't have freezing temperatures in SF Bay Area. Nevertheless, the cracks have developed soon after the first 3k miles. I imagine how this hardtop is going to look like in 5 or so years

Respectfull, they don’t get snow in SoCa….but did this year. It had to get below freezing to get that so though it may be rare in the SFBay area, I would think it occasionally happens? Not calling You out, just speculating.
