On a good note, CA won’t check a new vehicle for 6 years
Is it really worth it? I can see it being more beneficial on my turbo diesel but I have to smog it too often and it is t cheap.

Fords turbo vehicles for the most part have been very reliable in my opinion. Best thing you can do is just keep up with the maintenance. Highly Oil changes between 5k-7.5k and you shouldn’t have any problems.
Thank you! I was a little worried i would screw it up.

Hey!
I ordered a Outer banks. If in a year or so I wanted to have a sway bar disconnect put on is that possible or would I just need to upgrade to a Badlands?

Here’s a snippet from their forum on their site that walks you through the steps with screen grabs of how the adjust for tire size changes:

How to use FORScan to adjust tire size

If vehicle tyres have been changed to another size, vehicle configuration has to be adjusted to keep speedometer readings correct. The change is quite simple, but has few nuances so here is a detailed step by step instruction for this process.

Note 1: this article is actual for new vehicles with so called Economized Central Configuration (ECC). ECC means that some memory blocks in BdyCM module of the car are reserved to store parameters that are used by several modules. Tire Size is one of such parameters. Although it has been stored in BdyCM, it is actually used by PCM, TCM, AWD, ABS etc. There is some specific in managing ECC, reviewed below.

Note 2: Tire size is programmed as tire circumference in mm. You need to use any tire size calculator to convert from normal tire size to circumference in mm. For example, this one:

Huge secret, Don't pay for it, it's included on every Bronco.

Look under your Bronco real close, you'll see some bolts and pins. Get some air tools and wrenches and disconnect it. Reverse the process to reconnect.

Is there a way to stop this truck from lighting up like a Christmas tree if you are only opening the door? And the whining/humming noise as soon as you open the door is aggravating as hell, how can this be corrected if at all? Thanks

Hi Kyle, great name!

So what is the deal with the break in period what are the real do's and don'ts?

- Kyle
Consumer reports (not biased) interviewed engineers from multiple major manufactures and the short answer is modern engines and transmissions do not need break in periods. They are manufactured better than on the past ads designed for showtime from day 1. The fact that this is required for the Bronco is likely coming from the legal team as the break in recommendation was wildly broad, as will the Master Techs answer will be. New model, you never know what could go wrong and it’s better for it to go wrong at a slower speed and while not towing a 5th wheel than at slower speeds. Ford learns a things from the Explorer tread seperator days

Did some reading on what a catch can is. Simple concept. Found out illegal in CA Because of our smog rules.
No smog checks for the first 6 years of the new vehicle FYI

Kalifornia is so much farther far from perfect than most places
