Ford should offer this for the lovely Bronco.

technically, every car has removeable doors.
Some slight modification and my since deceased XJ had removable doors.

I doubt it would make sense for Ford to do it, and people here will gatekeep about how it's not a Bronco, but I would 100% buy it.

Taking the roof off is cool but it's not a driving factor for me. I'll only take the doors off a few times for the novelty. If the price was a fair bit cheaper I'd definitely forgo any removable stuff.

Look at it this way. Jeep has pretty much had the removable roof segment all to itself for forever, and in its best year only managed to sell 250k? 250k is a lot of vehicles for one model, but it’s nothing for an entire segment. Imagine what explorer Or f150 sales would be like if they were the only vehicle in their segments?

It takes a certain kind of person to want to drive a convertible or Jeep like vehicle. Adding a fixed roof version of the bronco would open up the pool of buyers dramatically. I’d buy it in a heart beat. I mentioned this in another thread but the bronco R looks cool with its fixed roof.

the bronco sport is really an alternative for people who don’t like the new design direction of the escape. It’s not really a fixed roof alternative for the real bronco. The badlands sport is the only version that can get the 2.0L and the upgraded 4x4. All the other trims only get the 3 cyl engine.

The Bronco is lovely and the Bronco can go topless/doorless!

However there are many who will never go topless or remove the doors for various reasons.

Should Ford add a Bronco variant that is exactly the same but with a fixed roof and regular doors that don’t come off?

Advantages:
1. Lower price
2. More weather resistant top
3. Better sound and temperature insulated
4. Take away sales from other fixed roof SUVs

Basically offer a version just as handsome and off road capable but with these advantages and without ability to go “naked”.

What do you think?
I think they should. It’s a smart move.

I think this is a really dumb suggestion that makes no sense whatsoever. Just don't take them off if you don't want to.

Actually it makes a lot of sense .... it would be a different variant that's all .... Ford use to sell that exact package before and enjoyed solid sales numbers

I guess Im just trying to understand exactly what the OP is talking about.

The OP suggested:

"Should Ford add a Bronco variant that is exactly the same but with a fixed roof and regular doors that don’t come off?"

How would it be "exactly the same" if the roof is fixed and the doors don't come off? If you like the looks of the Broncos, its not necessary to make the doors any different. Why do you need them to be NON-removable?

If you want a "fixed roof", wouldn't that be a completely different vehicle design?

On what vehicle did Ford sell a package that took a removable top vehicle and offered a variant with a fixed roof?

When did they offer that? You mean the Bronco II?

It’s not a problem to solve.
It’s a way to attract more customers to the Bronco.

How many iterations of Wrangler have there been? If Bronco lasts a decade or more, I'm sure we'll see a fixed top at some point

Some of us want a 2 door with no back seat and Ford won't even do that.

The question becomes how many would buy a fixed top model and is that enough to justify scavenging sales from the existing model and still make profit on both models?

Isn’t that basically the Bronco Sport Badlands edition?

I'd be all for a fixed roof too. Doors off is helpful for crawling, but I don't really care for the sun or rain beating down on me. I've never had any love for convertibles.
