The Sport is such a generic looking SUV.Isn’t that basically the Bronco Sport Badlands edition?
It lacks the form of the Bronco.

Then It's a Bronco (something). It’s not a problem to solve.
It’s a way to attract more customers to the Bronco.
If you had read the post you would not have made that comment.Buy a Toyota and be happy.
I totally agree!!The Bronco is lovely and the Bronco can go topless/doorless!
However there are many who will never go topless or remove the doors for various reasons.
Should Ford add a Bronco variant that is exactly the same but with a fixed roof and regular doors that don’t come off?
Advantages:
1. Lower price
2. More weather resistant top
3. Better sound and temperature insulated
4. Take away sales from other fixed roof SUVs
Basically offer a version just as handsome and off road capable but with these advantages and without ability to go “naked”.
What do you think?
I think they should. It’s a smart move.
FJ did decently well considering the economic landscape in which it launched. The issue would be the massive changes needed to the manufacturing line and the testing that would be needed to prove crash worthiness of both options. Would add to much to development costs.
You have a good benchmark of a fixed off roader (Toyota FJ) which flopped after the first year
You cannot possibly think the Bronco and the Sport look alike!?I totally agree!!
And they should name it........ Bronco Sport. Yep, that’s a great idea.
I'd say no. There could be room in the Ford line up for another purpose built off-roader but if they wanted something like that maybe it would make more sense to be like a 4Runner competitor. Because as described that sounds like a 4Runner just maybe boxierThe Bronco is lovely and the Bronco can go topless/doorless!

the FJ also had a somewhat funky design which probably didn’t appeal to everyone. Bronco has a much more traditional design.FJ did decently well considering the economic landscape in which it launched.
totally agreeThat is the beauty of the Bronco... you don’t want roof and doors off then don’t take them off. You want rugged with quiet and nice ride buy a “Bronco” Expedition. Majority of Jeep Wrangler owners never take doors or top off and I think Bronco owners will be the same way
I’m not sure why this is so hard for you to comprehend? A fixed roof version of the bronco would basically be a 4 Runner/defender competitor and not a wrangler competitor. Most people prefer a fixed roof because it provides several advantages over a removable roof.I find this thread to be completely bizarre. I have no idea what the OP is talking about.
"I don't ever roll down my windows, so Ford should offer one with fixed windows."
?????
Because a "fixed-roof version of a Bronco" would be a completely different vehicle.I’m not sure why this is so hard for you to comprehend? A fixed roof version of the bronco would basically be a 4 Runner/defender competitor and not a wrangler competitor.
I think the fact there’s never been a fixed-roof Wrangler says something about the demand for one.Im still trying to think of an SUV that was offered with both a removable top and a "fixed-roof".
