So on this no markup by ford.
Iā€™m buying this bronco through a good friend and old fraternity brother that owns a ford dealership.
He told me that every dealership has a ford representative assigned to them and that is how he gets all his information is from his specific ford rep.
He was told by his rep that the bronco is to be sold to reservation holders for no more than MSRP or there would be consequences yet to be determined.
He described it as a Tesla like model.
Aka ford says this is the price and that is it.
Having said that there is obviously a margin of money to be made by the dealer. So if the dealer wants to sell it for less and make less money per vehicle that is up to them.
but his ford rep told them they were not to sell for more than MSRP or risk consequences.

He also said that they make a rate of $2,750 per bronco sold.

So if a dealer wanted to charge less they could cut into their own profit.

Sorry. I was saying that yes they may have paid for extras added on. However if you order a vehicle a dealership can not legally force you to buy something extra they added to your order. Your order will have a window sticker from the manufacturer and anything a dealership tries to add requires an ADM located directly next to the MSRP sticker showing the price of the add ons. If a dealer orders vehicles for their own stock sure they can add whatever they desire. They can not legally add anything to your own order. If a dealership does the consumer should report that to the manufacturer, the BBB, the FTC, and a lawyer. Any dealership with half a brain cell knows better than that. If they've got only a half of a brain cell they should know to back way off the 2nd a consumer says no!!

The sales guy we spoke with at Mullinax in west palm beach said that he expected a lot of orders to back out. Partly due to the long wait. Partly due to people not being able to afford it. He said thatā€™s what they experienced with Mach E orders. He said that they sell fast because there are people waiting that donā€™t have orders in. He did mention that they donā€™t mark up the orders over MSRP. He said Ford would penalize them by killing their allocations for a month if they did. They sell them for the same price as the original order. They seemed pretty straight up and legit.

It was the report at the time. However please check the dates of the posts. This is from over a year ago (July 2020) At the time this was the rumor.
