Ford to end manufacturing in India

Oh no! Where are the EcoSports going to come from now? I'm sure the EcoSport forums are going crazy and livid right about now.

Eh, they ran into the same issue Harley Davidson had.

India's market is dominated by low-cost vehicles and motorcycles. American-designed automobiles and motorcycles are not low-cost.

They'll probably just move it to Cuautitlan Assembly.

Or maybe they'll re-open Camacari in Brazil? I think they still own the assembly plant down there even though it's been idle thus far in 2021.

Or… maybe… just maybe… they’ll discontinue the EcoSport and bring back the Focus!! Wishful thinking perhaps but always found it odd that they canceled the Focus and Fusion, both of which consistently sold over 160,000 units a year, but kept the EcoBoost which only sells ~60,000.
