Buy a New Bronco and replace the lug nuts ASAP. Ford never figured it out and thy have a huge inventory of the bad ones.

Yea I have used Gorilla and they rusted after the first season. Didn’t know about their warranty though but like you said they probably are like most companies and will claim you did something to make it rust? I don’t understand why it’s so hard for companies to make good, non rusting life nuts. I get that the solvent they put on the roads is horrible for metals but still there has to be some company out there that doesn’t source their crap metal from China. Maybe not though?‍♂
I've always used Gorilla nuts (hmm, that sounds strange!), but sooner or later they will rust too. Unless they are made of Stainless Steel, I don't know how you are not going to get rust on a steel lug nut. Even if they are coated, the coating will get damaged when you are taking them on and off. Especially with an impact gun.
I love black rims which usually need black lug nuts. Same problem.

I've never had an issue with the lug nuts on any of my Fords through Wisconsin winters. Maybe I'm just lucky. I know it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace them though.

I forgot my wifes escape had them, spent a good hour on the side of the road before a work truck with an impact helped. I got home bought 1 piece lug nuts. Still bitter @ Ford

Also going to need locking lug nuts, including the spare. Might as well replace them all.

In my experience the beauty cap only gets all chewed up with excessive ugga dugga. Using breaker bars and torque wrenches on my wheels have produced no issues over 7 years.

I've learned a lot from this site, I think I'd replace mine too with those kind of reviews!

Had this issue on my Fusion - hate the 2 piece - they wouldn't replace them under warranty - said it was wear and tear - SERIOUSLY??? Also wouldn't replace them with 1 piece - you know because that would be admitting fault/flaw in the 2 piece. So when I did my brakes/shocks I replaced with McGard 1 piece. If the Bronco comes with 2 piece - it'll be the first mod I make. My sense is with the pending class action law suit on the 2 piece they probably wouldn't.

I carry a breaker bar and torque wrench in my RV tool box, I never use a impact wrench, best way to mess up the lug nuts. If I have them done at a shop I specify hand tighten with torque wrench only, then I stand outside and watch.

Agree. Also get a good 6pt socket that fits your lugs perfectly. Some of the cheap stuff will be loose and start to deform your lug nut corners.
