I have owned warn winch’s for 30 years and they are awesome. That said I have 3 Badlands 12,000 pound winch’s 2 on heavy F-350’s and one on my goose neck to winch broken stuff up on the deck they have never failed me with the wired remote. The wireless remote on the other hand can give you problems.
Realize its been a min since this was posted, where did you relocate the control box to? Do you have a wireless connection? I've installed the RC winch plate but working through wiring...I absolutely love the RC. The price was incredible. The look is great once I relocated the control box. Finished it off with a blackout job and decal removal.
I have a different winch but I put the controls into a project box mounted on top of the fuse box. Others have put the control pack on the passenger side where people mount the arb compressor.
