There are 3,000 Ford dealers in the US alone. With all the sold orders, at the rate they are building them there will never be one sitting on the lots to buy. Then add the roof issue. Do the math, it ain't pretty.
What about the one's that the sale falls through?

What about the one's that the sale falls through?
I’ve seen quite a few of those! Good luck finding one without $10-30k added on as dealer markup though.

You mean like the one I picked up last week for MSRP....

Not being negative, I’ve called 30 dealerships within 300 miles of me. Not a single one had less than $10k markup. You were lucky.

Long McCarthur Ford said in one of their videos they have one for sale. He didn't mention any ADM, but in the same video, he said they have 4 Mavericks coming and 2 were for sale with likely $2k ADM on those.

We didn't think they could do it, but they did. The scale of this operation will make for fun reading in the years ahead... I doubt there have been many other situations with tooling components being express airlifted to meet an impossible deadline.

Tooling was up and running Friday and from what I can tell they cranked all weekend. So far, no issues have been discovered. I don't believe they've officially been released for delivery but that should happen later this week.
I dunno what this says about my career that I’ve had tools and equpment airlifted more than once… I guess I like it exciting.

I dunno what this says about my career that I’ve had tools and equpment airlifted more than once… I guess I like it exciting.
I seem to recall Ford airlifting tooling back in 2018 when an F-150 supplier had a fire at their plant.

I remember my plant paying $15,000 to charter an airplane for a box of bolts 20 years ago. Every shift Ford is losing about $10 million in revenue. Ford could buy a plane and hire 2 pilot crews to fly tooling over for the money it’s losing in a few weeks at MAP.

Any decent dealer would refund it if you decided to back out.
Every dealer will right now with these. Ford messed the launch up and no way a dealer would hold money or hold anyone to a deposit. They can blow the bronco out with a $$ on top if the person who ordered backed out. I have a much large deposit down and am zero worried about it.

I'm wondering if the MIC 2.0 was the original design, and MIC 1.0 was the cost cutting design.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Seems like the only way that this thing could get turned around so quickly and not take months of testing. Ford probably tried to cut costs, failed miserably, and went back to the engineering specs. I’m just happy it’s getting resolved.
