Anyone else having an issue in the past 2-4 days with fail to remote start from the Ford Pass app? Get the spinning circle of death and want to see if others are experiencing this issue before I start trying to diag.

Mine just worked. Check if you need to update the app maybe?

My wife had this exact same issue with her Lincoln Nautilus which has the same AGM battery as the Bronco. Would start fine from the key fob, but not from the APP. Checked the battery and the voltage was slightly low. Three to four year old battery. Put it on my charger and got strange/funky results. Replaced the battery all returned to normal.

The Bronco may not have good cell service where it is parked. The wife just bought a fully loaded Mazda CX-50 Premium Plus Turbo (That's a mouthful of trim) and we did not realize until the next day it is remote start from the app only. There is not a button on the key FOB to start the car with . The first time she tried it and it did not work where she parks it due to crappy cell service in that area. Mazda/Toyota give you 3 years of free service then they charge you a subscription fee to use the app . I guess I'll be installing an aftermarket remote start myself on a 45k fully loaded vehicle :(

Fob worked this morning, got a haircut about an hour ago and all the in vehicle settings are good. App is up to date and haven't had any issues until today, lock function didn't work either. I have a short drive to work but usually get here around 4:30am and sit in my vehicle with it running until 6:00am so I would think it should be charged.

Possibilities: AGM state of charge is low, some sort of OTA was done with no record (OTA dashboard shows the last one in November). Cellular network problem, problem on Ford's end, App/phone problem.

Maybe just an app issue.
Someone on here the other day posted an issue where the app would always say that their Bronco will shut off in 15 minutes, even when it wasn’t running nor remote started from the app.

@flip Got Gas?
IIRC - remote start won’t work when the low fuel indicator is on…

Ive noticed the same thing, it’ll report its successfully turned on but then i get to my car and its not. ive also noticed the app doesnt actually use telemetry to determine the power state, you need to close the app and re-open it if your broncos off and its saying its on. Not a great app design to just blindly assume the command worked…

My FordPass app updated 2 days ago on my iPhone. It’s been working fine - just used it last night.

delet and re install app
Did this and when I got in vehicle the next time it asked to reconnect to my phone. After I doing that, it's working correctly again. I suspected this was going to be the issue as I didn't see any OTAs, had no recent fault messages in the vehicle and easy entry worked from the passenger door.

Pro tip: If some functions (easy entry, remote start, lock/unlock, exterior lighting control) quit working, it's likely due to a low battery state of charge. It may start normally while in vehicle but can disable some functions from the remote or app. If you don't have a weak crank, completely dead battery, it's almost impossible to diagnose without using FDRS or some other diag tool (must be capable of viewing SOC) to pull up the PID. If you short trip, it's cold AF, or don't drive long enough to fully recharge the vehicle, you're taking more out than putting back in. The AGM batteries don't like being discharged and are difficult to save compared to the older lead-acid models.

I’m having the same issues with app. Says vehicle will shut off even though it was never started. I’ve tried using the app with vehicle parked at different locations, still not working.
