Do you need to set the temp you want before you turn off the vehicle - the night before when you are parking?
I didnt find any climate controlls in the app
You can set it to adjust automatically based off outside temp or you can do it manually. Have to go thru settings in the car.

I don't know why you are so stuck on the gearshift randomly moving. If someone was in the vehicle, I wouldn't need to use remote start, I'd just have them start if for me.

I get that it's likely legal worries that is why they won't enable remote start for manual transmissions, but nudging a gear lever doesn't magically slot it into 1st, and if it was any other gear it would likely stall.
I know my lawyer brother extremely well. He would willfully refuse to understand that bundle of rational thought, because he has no idea how any of it works and thinks that's immaterial. And because he's the lawyer, he knows he's the smartest person in the room by far. Ask him--he'll tell you.

Well, you see, from a legal standpoint, the auto-start on a non-automatic is not automatically safe from a legal point of view. So, if we auto-start a vehicle legally, it can't be automatically safe if it is a non-automatic vehicle that has the auto-start function on a vehicle designed to automatically start a vehicle remotely which is intended to be safe automatically due to the automatic start function for the automatics vs. the non-automatic.

How 'bout that word-salad jamboree....??????

I don't know why you're so stuck on not understanding that I'm simply telling you what the lawyers are thinking. Everything is fine when things go right, they have to think about when things go wrong. I could care less.
There are plenty of remote starts out there so just buy one and put it in yourself if you are so hung up on it. As I stated in a previous post, I put a couple on motorcycles way back in the day, it's not that hard to do yourself. I think you said you were a electronics tech or something so gitter done. It'll make for an interesting thread to follow if you post your progress.

Does anyone actually use the ā€œScheduled remote startsā€ on the Ford Pass App? Why is this even an option since the (immediate) ā€œstart optionā€ is right there? Sounds like an accidental carbon monoxide poisoning issue waiting to happen for those that use a garage.
I use mine everyday I work so itā€™s nice and cool when I get in after a hot day at work

It's a life saver at work, 4:45 and it starts, being that it's at or below freezing half the year here it's super handy. That last 15 min of the day can be hectic and the last thing I want is to walk out to a cold truck. Forgetting to hit the remote start has happened and it sucks
