I have seen that and that's the point. Not as a stand alone option but bundled in a what...5 or 6 thousand dollar package with other stuff I don't want. Would just like plain simple rear locker. That will be sufficient for anything I'll do and I believe if folks are being honest would be all anyone but the most truly hard-core off-roader would need. Bet majority of Sasquatch packaged rigs spend more time mall crawling than rock crawling.

Ideally, I would like a manual transmission. I think the question as to why it isn't available with the Squtch package is valid when you ask it with regard to the 2.3L motor. Why would it be available one way but not the other? It just doesn't make much sense.
I wonder if there is an engineering reason with the math of a 35 on this particular trans with the crawler. Maybe there is a spec buried in there that puts a part in the manual trans just too close to failure and ford does not want the liability of it. This would also follow why the 2.7 does not get that trans, something may break and they know it.

On the tow thing, factory tow on these is a bit of a rip anyway. I plan on sourcing aftermarket and saving a few dollars no matter what package I end with.

@Garbone, possibly. And I would happily accept that answer.

But I am willing to bet all the money in my pockets against all the money in your pockets the real answer lies somewhere in the vicinity of it having something to do with the possible cannibalization of sales of the Badlands trim resulting in lower revenues to Ford from sales of the lower trims combined with Sasquatch package.

Just want to add my 2 about the ppl complaining about the possible lack of options on the base. The base is in place as an inexpensive option, for the owner on his own, to up grade and make the way he wants. If you want the off road features like lockers and lift kits and upgraded suspension...... that is also covered under warranty; you’re going to pay the premium. That’s how ford covers there ass. Not everyone is going to be taking these things off road, but if you do and snap an axle, blow a tranny.... it’s covered. It’s up to the buyer what you’re looking to get out of this.

Those types of options are available on the Ranger in less bloated, more reasonably priced packages so that rationale doesn't really hold up. Seems to be more about getting early adopters to pay to play. Said to say but I'll be one of them

We don’t even know what these packages cost yet. I’m referring to ppl who want every option available for the base.... if you want those options, move up a trim. They’re standard

I would again remind anyone with this attitude to compare this to a Wrangler. You can't get any of the off road goodies you want on anything but a Rubicon. Ford doesn't care what BMW is doing, they benchmarked the Wrangler at every level, include packages/pricing.
I agree with Musicguyusa, especially when ford posts this
We’re trying something new with Bronco vehicles to make sure you can build the Bronco that is right for you. Instead of the usual good, better, best approach, we want you to build toward your outdoor pursuits. Follow these 4 steps and choose from a wide selection of available factory options and Ford accessories. Then, when it’s time to turn your reservation into an order, you’ll have already created a Bronco that’s perfect for you.

I have tried every way possible to get something I will be happy with
If I get a Wildtrak, I would have to buy wheels and tires, re gear both axles, put different springs and re calibrate the speedo
If I get a badland I would loose sport mode, and have to buy carpet, rip out the interior to install carpet
If I go outer banks again I have to re gear it, loose Baja mode, and no front locker

If they offered WIldtrak with 33's and the gears from the Badland's 33 inch configuration I would be all set, but they force Sasquatch in the Wildtrak

ya BMW sucks the way they force you to buy a expensive package to get one option, that's why I don't own a BMW. Porsche or Mercedes lets you build it your way, you can add any option you want, in any combination. That's why I have owned both of those brands

Ford says I can build a Bronco that's perfect for me, but unless things change when the official order books come out, they Lied to me

Q: What is the weight capacity of the supplied roof rack as it looks to attach in the front and rear with no mid support?
A: 110 lbs. while in motion and 450 lbs. parked.
I guess that’s the first draw back I’ve seen. My iKamper X-Cover RTT weighs 120lbs. With me and my wife inside that comes up to 420lbs but that doesn’t count any gear we’re carrying.

It’s disappointing but not a deal breaker. Someone in the aftermarket will do something about it.

Love to see carpet delete with First Edition
Maybe I am wrong, but I thought the FE spec was rubber floors with removable carpeted floor mats.

Nobody asked about the white top?!
Ford Bronco Ford's Answers to Bronco Questions Submissions (Q&A) 1596329412244
Yes. I asked if the white top and front white grill were going to be an option. They did not answer the question. The questions asked listing I think is only a summary because I answered 10 to 12 questions and they are not all listed in this post.

Spoke with a Bronco Specialist at a dealer last Sunday who said minimum he expects Sasquatch package to come in at $2kish, which is pretty reasonable IMO.
If the dealer or the factory does it at the time of purchase, even better for insurance purposes.

Was this for the Badlands or for the Base? Big difference in upgrades to standard equipment between the two.
