Forscan for iOS

I have the ODBLinkMX+ as recommended by Forscan. Obviously no Bronco yet but I tried it on the Mustang. I just have the viewer version of Forscan iOS app. Is it even worth getting the upgraded iOS app or just use a laptop?

The tables were a bit hard to understand but I thought the iOS app was just for doing diagnostics and can’t program the vehicle.

I know it's been a while since this thread was last touched but is this confirmed? Also a Mac user and looking for a solution.

Confirmed, you can not program using the FORScan Lite iOS app. You must use a laptop running the Windows version of FORScan

Yep. It says it in the description of the app. It’s a note at the bottom.

Also a Mac user here, hoping to take delivery around New Years. Can anyone confirm that iOS version is able to reprogram with FORScan? Really trying to avoid purchasing a PC laptop solely for FORScan...

Yeah it kinda sucks you need windows there's no other work around I tried downloading parallels to try and make it work but kept getting driver errors. I ended up borrowing a guys windows laptop at my work that he already had forescan on for his truck. All I did was disable that double honk thats super annoying.

If you have an intel based mac, you could always use Boot Camp.

I run HP Tuners this way.

I bought a cheap win 10 cd key online and used VMware (free and works great) to use forscan on my Intel based MacBook.

mac user here and I just setup dual boot on small partition for this purpose.
