Looking for some help or advice.

I very carefully disabled double honk and then changed the circumference of my tires to the new 285s (I have a base model). I now am seeing a service notification and check 4wd alert when starting. If I go into Forscan it lists a number of errors that I cannot seem to be reset ABS, 4wd, etc..

Not sure if it is the tool (I just ordered the one recommended on one of the forums) not being able to reset, or somehow the base model does not like the larger tire circumference.

Current plan is to get the new tool, try to reset and if not, change circumference back to original value. Any thoughts?

Goto AWD relearn and it will adjust everything

I really appreciate the input. I am a rookie here. Can you offer me any advice on high-level steps? I changed two things and created a problem. I don't want to make it worse.

Had no luck with AWD relearn. It runs, but still can’t get rid of alerts or reset DTCs. Damnit.

Correction. I do not get the Service Soon or Check 4x4 alerts anymore but the DTCs are still there in Forscan. I’ll live I guess

I just had the same problem and did the re-learn. That seemed to work. Is yours still working ok? Did the DTC's ever clear?

I set it back to normal. The relearn didn’t work for me and the dash warning cleared but not the DTC. I stepped away from it, but will try again.

Probably not the answer you wanna hear but wonder if you reverted the changes, ran it to the dealership and had them make the adjustment, and then add back the changes you wanted.

not the answer you probably want but it might be another path to your solution.

No. I hear you. That was part of my thinking and I may do so. I’m a novice and was real nervous when I got the alerts. Started imagining it was running differently.

I saw some other posts saying wipe your program back to the base settings you saved before changing anything and then retry your adjustments.

Yeah, I didn’t do that. Moron. I couldn’t find the instructions to do it anywhere and I figured I’m changing 2 things and one was a menu item (double honk). Idiot.

Some of the codes won't go away even after the re-learn, but they do not trip the dash CEL. I've run mine that way since oct last year, with no other problems.

There is another tool called FDRS that sounds like it can make the relearn successful, but I'm ok with how it is now.
