Thanks for pointing out another place to reduce noise. I don't expect the bronco to be a silent vehicle. I have tinnitis pretty bad and reducing wind noise or small whistles will be nice.

I come from years of old EBs with leaky everything. One of my old EB's hard top sounded like you were inside a can whenever you hit a bump. I tack welded 1/8" rod inside the top to reduce the flex and noise. Can't do that here, but we can seal up the leaks to help.

I'm looking forward to applying these "upgrades" in about a month or so.

I look at it this way. Ford did only what was necessary to meet their NVH goals. Going beyond that for them just adds cost and time on the assembly line. That leaves room for the aftermarket to take things further or concerned owners. I think that is great when people share what they've done and describe how it has improved things.

Has anyone tried weatherstripping the entire portion where MIC meets the car? Wonder if that's effective in deadening all outside noise.

You're having a laugh, right? My JL has a 'multi section' hard top. After 2 years in the desert, still no leaks and no gaps whistling in the wind. And it's been through several Arizona monsoons. Is it louder at high speed than my wife's Land Rover? Sure. But you should never be willing to accept something that shoddy in a vehicle costing as much as a Bronco.

Sorry, but the 'What do you expect from an off road vehicle' crowd pisses me off. I expect reasonable quality! And quality at least at the level of it's stated rival.
Bravo. Well-stated.

I guess having driven a noisy 5.9 Cummins truck, a 2011 Jeep with hard or soft top, 2006 Jeep with a soft top, and a 1993 Land Cruiser that has had most of the interior panels removed for the past 15 years makes the 2 door Bronco quite quiet to me :D
Yeah, my '04 F350 crew cab dually diesel is not the quietest thing out there either. Even with my bad hearing, I can have a conversation in the Bronco with all the windows down and do not have to yell.
