Hi,
I have a 2024 everglades and was looking at some fox take offs from a 4 door 2022 wildtrak. My guess is everglades has stiffer springs since it has full skids, rock sliders, hard top, roof rack, steel bumpers, winch, tow package, slide out tailgate, basically everything Ford has to make it heavier. While the wildtrak does not.
Two questions.
Will I need to move my everglade springs to the fox shocks to maintain ride height? My guess is yes however I have no data to validate my guess.
Will the fox shocks perform as well with the everglades stiffer springs making it worth the work and cost to swap them?
I am happy with the factory setup however if I can make it better why not.

My everglades springs:
front mb3c-5310-axa
rear nb3c-5534-asb

Fox has
front nb3c-5310-ayb
rear unknown just have the QR side of the tag pic, does show Q48PA.

Thank you

Do any of the Ford techs here have access to a chart like this https://www.fordmuscleforums.com/attachments/70springs4-jpg.19422/

Bump to see if anyone has some info. Might have to just gamble and hope they work out. Hate to go into something on a guess since that usually means wasting money.

I don’t know for sure, but I doubt the bilstein springs will work on the fox shocks. So swapping them probably isn’t an option. I can’t say for sure though as I’ve never tried it.

I’ve never seen any information about spring specifications released by Ford for the Bronco like the link that you posted.

Your Everglades may not need stiffer springs for the Fox shocks out of a 4 door Wildtrak, as the Wildtrak has a heavier engine than your Everglades, so quite possibly it should even out.

That's what I am hoping. It would be nice if we knew what the spring rates where for all these different springs the Broncos use. I am going to try and get these take offs, they are from a 4 door.

Your Bilstein springs should fit fine on the HOSS 3.0's. Eibach sells a replacement spring that work on the Sasquatch Bilstein, badlands Bilstein and the HOSS 3.0 Fox. All three applications have the same part number. The only difference is how much lift they provide on each trim.

So the springs will definitely fit the Foxes, but how well the shocks work with those springs and where the vehicle sits at ride height is what is undetermined. The Fox shocks were valved with a particular spring rate in mind. So depending on if your springs are softer or stiffer, the ride quality is yet to be determined.

I say go for it and determine for yourself if you're happy. Worse case you sell the shocks to someone else.

You really don't need to guess, just compare the weight of each. It's probably posted on the internet somewhere.

Just Googled
WildTrak 4935 Pounds
Everglades 4864 pounds

Just a FYI the label on the drivers door does not include the curb weight, I can not find the curb weight of this vehicle anywhere on it.
On the separate tire sticker it says cargo should not exceed 836lbs. I believe that is based on tire rating not GVWR. If we used GVWR 6180 lbs minus the max cargo load this should have a curb weight of 5344lbs.
I will hit a scale one day next week I hope and see what my curb weight actually is.

The curb weight can be off by as much as 500 lbs I estimate between the 2 models based on options.
These specs should be published, however they are not.
This is all silly to me but here I am guessing.

Should have the shocks Tuesday and a couple more weeks before I install them. I will take measurement before and after install, if the height is within 1/2" after the swap I will run them and see how they feel.
I do not want to loose any ride height, hopefully it remains the same or I even gain a little, that would be nice.

Did the same thing when I owned an Everglades, but instead of using the Bilstein springs, I installed 1.5" perch collars on the front shocks.

Had it to do over again, I probably would have installed Eibach coilovers based on the cost of the Fox shocks, but moreso because I ended up wanting more lift down the line.

I am getting these takeoffs for $800 with advertised under 4k miles on them. I am not looking for more lift just a even better ride. I don't think I will want to go taller as I am over 50 now and climbing in and out has lost the fun factor it had in my youth. But time will tell.
Just trying to avoid swapping in the fox's only to swap them back out because they loose some clearance.

Hi, Would it be possible for you to look up the part numbers I need for the shocks top 12 nuts and front bottom 4 nuts and the rear 2 bolts with nuts for these 2023 fox wildtrak 4dr shocks? I’ve tried looking on ford parts however I’m not having any success. The diagrams I find show parts starting with H like HN3 for example however that does not convert when I use the ford parts website. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just take the coilover down to your local hardware store and match up what you need. It will be a lot cheaper then buying through Ford, and as long as you buy Grade 8, it will be the same quality.

You might need to move your springs to keep the same ride height, and Fox shocks should handle the stiffer springs well. Without trying it, it's hard to say for sure.
