165,000 reservations at average price selling price to dealers of $30,000+ or - = $5 billion.
Yeah and I'm guessing that reservation number is dropping more every week. I've been waiting for years already so no big deal for me to wait longer. Ford will lose out on those who they may have been able to crossover from Jeep to Bronco. They are also giving more time for other automakers to steal all the "likes" of the Bronco and to add them to their products. Ford will lose out even more if they don't find a way to stay on schedule.

I mean, the positive to this is the part that is unavailable is probably one of the last pieces in assembly. Ford can just ramp up production now while storing them in a climate controlled environment.

Tops come in, throw them on and shipem out!

I know this probably is too much variability for a car manufacturer but it is possible.

"Whether delivery is in April or May or June, that's a nuance." A nuance? No, they are actual dates in time, they are in no way "nuances." This must be the guy that came up with the idea of saying October is actually by September. These kinds of statements are insulting to customers, IMO.

I don't like soft tops, but if they offered one for a 2 door, I'd go that route until they shipped me my MIC, or go topless. Make it happen Ford. I'll sign a waiver if that's what it takes.
Same here - I would be fine with a soft top for my 2-door if i can get it sooner, or at least on time.

From a global manufacturing standpoint, and that the Bronco has been in development for 3+ years, a change of 3 months is inconsequential.

The difference is most consumers, especially American consumers, don't have the patience to use a turn signal properly let alone find a way to survive a 3 month wait for something they want.

Don't forget, Americans enjoyed the show Survivor. A game show where you can win money for temporarily "surviving" in places where capable human beings already live and survive. Yet to Americans that was a feat worthy of enrichment.

Survivor was popular because of the perceived Schadenfreude, drama, and backstabbing that seems to occur on heavily scripted shows such as these.

Supply chain hiccups can be nothing or cause for quality concerns.

I disagree with your assessment of consumers. When we are given a promise with a deadline, plan finances (and for some of us, hold off on buying a new vehicle we actually need), we expect the product to be ready for delivery.

If you think Americans are crappy, I think that is a different topic. So please do not turn my comment into a way to mock my fellow countrymen.

You telling me that they really can't source a couple of milion pounds of faded grey plastic pellets in all of China? Find that hard to believe.
Just source it from first gen avalanches.

Sorry, but anything you say cannot be trusted. My mother doesn't enjoy hallmark movies. With or without your excellent company.

In late 2020, supply chain hiccups should be expected. And here they are, happening.
